"The crew came in after water damage to my kitchen and replaced the subfloor, insulation, drywall, laminate flooring cabinets and countertops. They also took care of the plumbing to hook the sink back up correctly after the water leak. They were there when they said they were going to be very efficient with their time, very friendly and explained everything they were doing. they also kept a very clean workplace while they were doing the replacement work. I am very impressed with the quality of their work and would definitely hire them again."

Granite Restoration questions, answered by experts

While DIY kits are available for minor stone polishing, larger restoration projects benefit from professional expertise. A professional can ensure an even, high-quality finish, handle stain removal, apply proper sealing for long-lasting protection, and guarantee the work's durability.

Use pH-neutral cleaners specifically designed for stone surfaces to clean granite or marble. Avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners that can damage the sealant or the stone itself. Regular re-sealing helps protect the surface from stains and damage.

You can cut granite countertops after installing them, but you need to consider the mess it will make. Dust will be everywhere, and lots of protective gear will be required. On top of that, you will need to measure meticulously to make sure the cuts you make are perfect; otherwise, you’ll be stuck having to replace the entire slab of granite, which is a much bigger job.

Some of the cheapest ways to change granite countertops without replacing them include painting, honing, or changing the finish, covering them with tile or laminate, and using countertop contact paper. Dollar for dollar, applying countertop film is the cheapest, easiest, and most reversible way to update the look of your countertops. No matter what you choose, remember that permanently marring the original countertops can cost you money when you’re trying to sell your home, so make smart choices and preserve the integrity of the granite.

If you notice dull spots on your marble floor, that could result from etching. If you’ve used the wrong type of floor cleaner in the past or left a spill unattended for too long, your marble floor may have suffered some surface damage. While there are ways to protect your natural stone from etching, you may have to call in a professional for repairs.
