"We contracted Wilson Home Services for a pretty large remodel job on our house. We moved wood paneling throughout the house, installed new flooring and baseboards, walls repainted, kitchen/bathroom cabinets painted, busted pipe fixed, and transformed a large garage into an additional bed room that required extensive flooring, drywall, and electrical work along with installation of a mini-split heating & air unit. The entire project took from November to early February (breaking for the holidays). The level of their workmanship, straight forward pricing, staying on budget, and Brandon's availability to communicate and answer questions are the biggest reasons I would highly recommend them to anyone. Only constructive feedback I have would be around small details (which they ALWAYS followed up on when I asked) and their communication around when people would be working (got surprised one Saturday morning). Overall, they did a fantastic job and we will definitely be using Brandon and his crew the next time we want something done."

"It was difficult job because it was 30 feet of the ground. They were safe and went the extra step to make sure the rest of the fascia was secure. Awesome."

"Jeremy hit a home run. He installed a medicine cabinet, shower head, shimmed my shower door, fixed my screen door latch, hung two curtain rods, hung a clock, hung 3 coat hooks, hung 2 kitchen shelves, 2 rods for dishtowels, paper towel rack, put together garden cabinet and put on my wheel covers. All in 3 hours. Amazing. He is very personable and makes sure everything is the way you want it. What more can you ask for?"

"Reliable: Always on time Professional: Owner and crew are perfectionists Honesty: The most honest contractor I have ever dealt with. Quality: First time in twenty years of hiring contractors that we are completely satisfied with the finished product. Value: Quote was a little lower than two others. Big difference was CRG explained the job thoroughly. After observing the tedious prep work and looking at finished product we got a great bargain. We had not planned to do anymore this next year but asked about different kinds of kitchen counter choices. CRG showed us video of Epoxy countertops We hired them to do that next as it was as attractive as any other counters and a tad cheaper. CRG has been hired to come back to do Epoxy kitchen countertop. Bonus the entire crew attended to detail and worked very hard. No slackers. Finally, I talked to each of them and they liked working for CRG. Some of you may not realize how important that is."

Kitchen Cabinet Refacing questions, answered by experts

Any of your garage shelves should be able to hold heavier loads, but it’s best to place heavier items on middle shelves. The only reason for this is to prevent injury—lifting heavy loads from down low requires squatting or bending over, which can lead to back injury, and lifting heavy loads off of high shelves in the garage can be especially dangerous if you drop them.

Yes, you can replace just your cabinet doors, assuming the structure of the cabinets themselves is sound. Replacing only the doors can save you money when renovating your cabinets. New cabinet doors cost $300 on average, but range from $200 to $400, depending on the material and size. Keep in mind that replacement doors made of materials like fiberboard and engineered wood are less expensive than wooden cabinet doors.

No, in most cases, you do not have to remove your countertops to reface cabinets. Since refacing primarily involves updating the doors, drawer fronts, and exterior surfaces, your existing countertops can usually stay right where they are, making the process quicker and less disruptive. However, if your counters prevent the access needed to remove doors and drawers, they may need to be temporarily removed. It's best to consult with a professional cabinet contractor to assess your specific kitchen layout during an estimate.

You can add glass to your existing kitchen cabinet doors with a few tools and some patience. We recommend following the DIY steps listed above, which include cutting a panel for the glass, cutting and adding the glass, and reattaching your cabinetry. If these steps seem too complicated or you’d rather have the peace of mind of a professional installation, hire a cabinet installation pro to handle this project for you.

Yes, soft-close drawers are quick and simple to add to a refacing project. Get in touch with a kitchen cabinet refacing contractor for an estimate. In many cases, your cabinet contractor or repair person can bundle the cost of upgrading your cabinets to soft-close drawers into the total bill of your project. They may even offer a discount for combining these services, but you’ll need to shop around for the best deal.
