I have been a self contractor since 2005. I have done hundreds of home improvement projects and have several years of experience in the areas of framing, painting, flooring, electrical, and mechanical maintenance and I also can do other little jobs like installing dishwasher, light fixtures, ceiling fan,and plumbing work.

"He was very nice and did a good job very personal 5 star work and fast thanks again"

I will strive to do my absolute best work for any and all clients that give me the opportunity to do so. If you prefer a certain task be done a specific way, just let me know somehow and I'll make sure it's done how you would prefer. A clean home at the end of a busy and/or stressful day, is like a a refresher before the next day and I love helping people be able to reset before dealing with the stress of just,, life.

Painting questions, answered by experts

Aside from the primer and paint choice, consider other cost factors that can impact the overall price of your interior painting project. For example, the following items are likely to increase the cost of your project:

  • Moving furniture

  • Accent walls

  • Textured walls

  • High walls

  • Stairways or stairwells

  • Wall repairs

  • Time of year

  • Lead or asbestos testing

Yes, you can paint an entire wall using just a brush. In fact, it may make the most sense on narrow walls where a roller would be impractical, but be prepared for it to take more time. We still recommend cutting in around corners and trim, then distributing paint around the rest of the wall as evenly and smoothly as possible.

Clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners to protect the finish.

Although most contractors, like painters, earn an hourly rate and do not expect tips, you can still tip if you’re satisfied with the job and feel that the painters went above and beyond. Tipping about $20 to $50 per worker can go a long way in showing your appreciation for a job well done. However, check with the contractor beforehand to confirm the policy on tipping, as some companies do not allow employees to accept tips.

Knockdown and orange peel are two popular types of drywall textures. There are a couple of key differences, but the main one is the application process. When creating an orange peel texture, you spray the material onto the drywall. With knockdown, the first step is to spray, stomp, or brush the material onto the drywall. Then, you drag a tool (like a knife or trowel) over the material to create unique designs.
