"Drew runs the show and works with 2 of his brothers. They looked at our front entry door which was rotting and badly installed, and said 'We can do this' when 2 other door companies, Lowes and Home Depot, would not touch it! It was off square as well. They told me what size door to purchase, we picked it out, they installed it. Did a beautiful job of salvaging the trim that needed to be reused. For the first time since we moved in our door opens and closes, the lock works correctly and all the trim lays flat! Great communication, follow up, prices, and work ethic too!"

Kitchen Cabinet Refacing questions, answered by experts

Yes, cabinet makers continue to fabricate custom kitchen and other household cabinets for new construction homes. Cabinet makers also replace and renovate existing kitchen cabinets. The cost tends to be higher than choosing manufactured cabinets from a major retailer, but you get the cabinets specially designed and made to fit the unique needs of your space.

Costs vary by materials used, surface size, and complexity. Refacing can be cost-effective compared to full replacements, with an average range between $300 and $1,200.

Refacing your kitchen cabinets can be a wise investment if you want to enhance the look of your kitchen or sell your home in a competitive market. Upgrading your kitchen and bathrooms, from simple cabinet remodels to full remodels, usually leads to a faster sale compared to homes with outdated looks. Even if you don’t plan to sell, though, the pride and satisfaction you’ll feel can make this project more than worthwhile.

On average, it costs about 30% to 50% less to reface than to replace custom or semi-custom cabinets. However, the most affordable cabinet replacement projects tend to cost about the same amount as the average cabinet refacing project. These are replacement projects that involve pre-made stock cabinet styles rather than custom designs.

Any of your garage shelves should be able to hold heavier loads, but it’s best to place heavier items on middle shelves. The only reason for this is to prevent injury—lifting heavy loads from down low requires squatting or bending over, which can lead to back injury, and lifting heavy loads off of high shelves in the garage can be especially dangerous if you drop them.
