Well most of the time the reason any kind of construction cost so much is because you have guys that just get the job and pay other people to do it. In which cost the costumer more money, unnecessary money. With me tho I do the work unless I need more hands to do it but I'm still right beside my guys working just as hard as they are, but at the same time being a strong and capable leader. That's why if ya need some work done, give me a call and you want be disappointed.

Storm Shelters questions, answered by experts

Depending on your structure, you may not need planning permission. Major excavation, anything that changes the external appearance of your home, or any construction that will affect your neighbors will need planning permission. However, no planning permission is required if you’re just converting an existing space into a root cellar.

Though concrete is a very common material for storm shelters, steel is by far the best material to use if you’re building a storm shelter. Steel won’t crack, is less prone to leaks, and won’t cave in—though it is significantly more expensive than concrete. In this case, the increased price is definitely worth it, as it enhances your safety.

A construction lien results from unpaid services. For instance, if a homeowner hires a contractor to do a large renovation on their home and then fails to pay for the services and materials, the contractor can take out a lien on the property. This lien is a legal claim against the property for the amount of money owed. If the homeowner does not pay their debt, the lien may stay on the title until the homeowner tries to sell and cannot do so until the title is cleared.

The average cost of building a cinder block storm shelter can range from $3,000 to $20,000 or more, depending on various factors. Size, location, additional features, and customization all influence the overall cost. A smaller, basic shelter might be more budget-friendly, while larger or specialized designs may incur higher expenses.

The timeline to build your barn will depend on the barn type and the company you hire. A pole barn may take six weeks or so, while a traditionally framed or steel-framed barn can take four months or longer. Building a barndominium takes the longest because you are essentially building a new home. You can expect barndominiums to take six months or longer to build.
