"I had them clear a few acres of raw land. Tree service was closest fit. They came w nice equipment for doing the job and the young man worked tirelessly all day. Cleared and flattened a couple of acres and cut driveways. It was fun to watch the mulcher chew thru the scrub and brambles. Nice folks. Iâ ll be calling them again for more work soon. Highly recommend them!!"

"Mr. Eatmon first called and set an appointment time yesterday to look at my problem. He arrived promptly at the set time and diagnosed the issues involved. He said that he would return today to make the repairs. Mr. Eatmon and his son Derick arrived right on time. While water-related pressure caused by poor drainage is one common cause of paver cracking, other factors can include ground movement beneath pavers, heavy loads and wear and tear over the pavers, and climates with constant freeze-thaw cycles. In general, pavers should be resealed every three to five years to prevent cracking.

You’ll first need to install a base underneath your pavers for extra stability and drainage. Otherwise, the pavers can sink into the ground, and you’ll have to reinstall them. Use a base gravel layer of 4 to 6 inches for walkways and 10 to 12 inches for driveways. Compact your gravel layer every 2 to 4 inches so it’s nice and solid. After you install your gravel base, apply a 1-inch layer of sand on top.

Paver driveways are durable and aesthetically pleasing, but they do have a few cons. For instance, paver driveways are often more expensive than asphalt and concrete driveways. They also make it easier for weeds to grow where the separate pavers meet up. They may also be more likely to settle over time.

Chip seal layers gravel and a liquid bitumen one at a time on-site, while asphalt directly pours a pre-combined mixture. Asphalt must be sealed, but it will last up to four times as long as chip seal driveways. Aesthetically, chip seal has a natural, rustic look compared to the traditional asphalt slab.

When asphalt cures, it typically changes from a very dark black hue to a lighter, more matte gray color. Cured asphalt also won’t be tacky or sticky to the touch or emit any odors from the asphalt mix. Additionally, the surface of fully cured asphalt won’t deform under any pressure.
