I thought I wanted a lot of work done to my lawn because the builder didn't do a very good job. He gave me some free advise, since I had more time than money back then, to get my lawn to grow. My issue has to do with poor communication, poor record-keeping and extremely unprofessional behavior: In early May, I sent this business an email letting them know that I was deploying and to please cancel my lawn service. I requested one more lawn care service. I sent a follow-up email about 3 weeks later. I have since deployed and recently received an overdue notice for 4 lawn care services, all of which occured after the date of my original email. I sent an email to the business and included the aforementioned email traffic, saying that I would pay for the first service conducted as per my original email. I followed up with a phone call. I spoke with Kevin, who said he never received any of those emails and hung up on me. I scanned all of the email traffic and included it in an email sent to him via my deployed work email address. He replied with the following verbiage, verbatim: "Ms. Mack, "I receive email at this address daily, just as I received yours today. I received no emails from you prior to this which is why we continued your service. You had no problem sending an email or making a phone call to refuse paying your bill but mysteriously were unable to do so to stop your service. As I stated earlier, it's only those people like you of low moral fiber and poor character that I have ever had a problem collecting payments. You have succeeded in stealing the money you owe me. Congratulations! I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I stole from people as you do." I re-sent the scanned email traffic to him and resolved to report this incident to the Better Business Bureau and Angie's List."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ms/bay-saint-louis/elite-land-care-reviews-4799019.htm"},"position":7},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"ALBERTO'S LAWN & LANDSCAPE","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"AK","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Mary R."},"reviewBody":"I had a new lawn put in the last time they were here; so they are going to be here again this spring. The price charged by them wasn't bad. The other companies wanted about $3000, $4000 and $5000. Alberto did a good job and he is going to be up-keeping the lawn. I haven't called him yet. He would probably not start until May or June. I am terrified that if I don't have somebody looking on the grass, then it would die. They were here when they said they were going to be here. They did it under the available time and within the time that they gave me. They were very good at explaining as to how I am supposed to take care of the lawn and what would happen. They gave me a very good run down of what to expect and what would happen. Everything happened as they said and the grass started coming up when they said. They were really careful about explaining everything to me and how to take care of my lawn. Alberto also did some gravel work on the outside and I think he charged me about $1000 for that. That was quite a bit of work too. They had to redo the side. I was thinking of blacktopping it, but I then decided to put some regular gravel. I wanted to have a piece of rubber to go along the side and made sure that it stayed in there. It wasn't a big area, but it had to be shaped in a certain way. Alberto was very nice and his work was really good."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ak/anchorage/alberto%27s-lawn-and-landscape-reviews-4707353.htm"},"position":8}]}

I requested a lawn thatching. It was explained that with just a thatching, I would have to rake all the thatch. If I were to purchase a Spring cleanup, the lawn would be thatched, mowed twice, trimmed and debris blown away. The crew of two arrived on a rainy day. I asked about doing the work...

Once they finally got here they did fine. However, they did not come when they said they would and the branches were on our lawn for almost 2 weeks until they came. They said they would be there sooner but then when they didn't show up we would call and they would tell us they would be there...

Whether organic or synthetic fertilizers are better for your lawn depends on your goals, budget, and plans for other lawn treatments. Organic fertilizer costs more but is likely to benefit your lawn more in the long run by improving the soil as well as feeding your grass. Synthetic fertilizers get faster results but don’t enrich the soil and may contaminate nearby bodies of water if you live on a shoreline. A hybrid fertilizer may be an option to give you the benefits found in both organic and synthetic fertilizers.
