We have spindles at the top of our main stairs not wall and he was able to safely install the gates without damaging the stairs. He charges 75/hr for installing baby safety items, which I thought was well worth it for the gates because he knows what he is doing (they can be tricky) and does it well. I was less inclined to have him install the other baby safety items at that rate as I could do some, or have a handyman do them for less. I was very happy with his services and quality of work and would hire him again and recommend him
- SAFER BABIESWe purchased an Angie's List Big Deal that included three hours of babyproofing (really "child-proofing" for us with our very mobile and curious two and a half year old). We had done some stuff ourselves, but some of the bigger projects (securing a bookshelf to the wall) were just too time consuming and we were dragging our feet about getting it done. Having Joe come proved to be just the thing to get all those "should dos" taken care of. He did a thorough assessment of our house, listened to all of our concerns, did his own walk through, and then made a number of recommendations. There was no hard sell, just a list of suggested improvements. We picked the things we wanted him to do, and he noted that he could come back to do any of the other items at any time if we changed our mind down the road. He got everything done in a timely fashion and then walked us through to show us exactly what he did. It was just what we hoped we were getting when we got the Big Deal. If I have one suggestion for Joe and crew it would be to leave a list of possible improvements with the customer so that, if we decide we want to do them down the road, we can remember what they are
