  • Power Jack Foundation Repair
Power Jack did a great job, were personable, polite, and punctual. When they started on the job, they continued over 3 days until it was completed. They coordinated with the timing I had with my deck company who was demolishing my old deck and preparing to install the new one.

He did a really great job and definitely knows what he's talking about. We had him inspect our future home that was built in 1920 and were relieved that he didn't tell us to run away screaming. Really nice guy, too.

They arrived on time, got started promptly and were very friendly. Jim did a thorough inspection of the entire house. They were professional and very detail oriented, finding even the smallest detail that wasn't quite right. We were very concerned about the foundation of the house, and since Jim is an engineer, were very reassured with his findings. At the end of the inspection, a complete report was generated and Jim went over every finding in the report and answered all of our questions completely. I couldn't imagine a better or more pleasant experience with a home inspection. If you want a quality inspection, not just a "quickie" from someone who may not have any real qualifications, then use Anasazi

The inspector and his wife were both very knowledgeable. He inspected, while she took notes. I basically listened, asked a few questions, and observed where all was checked out. It went very smoothly, they were a few minutes early, at 9 am, and I think the inspection took about 3 + hours, top to bottom. He was unable to get to the roof, his ladder was too short, but was able to visually inspect from the attic. I learned a lot about historic homes in general, and this home in particular. On my request, they gave me names of handymen and workers they would recommend. I received a full print out of his findings and recommendations and cost estimates on that day. They brought their own computer and printer to the site

They arrived promptly and ready to work. They are a husband and wife team, and work together extremely well. She takes detailed notes as he does the inspection of each area, and is right at hand to hold a light or tool to assist him, or to switch the zones from the controls in the garage while he examines the sprinkler system in the yard. They use radio phones to communicate remotely, so that he can verbally describe what he is actually observing in an area, like the attic, while she records his feedback real-time. They were both personable and knowledgeable, willing to explain their findings, give suggestions for correction of minor issues or recommendations for ongoing care or maintenance of items. They are well equipped and prepared and presented us with a computer generated final report right on site. The explanations in the final report of repair items were clear and straightforward. Their discussion of the findings was presented in an "opinion-neutral" manner, but they did highlight areas that might warrant further investigation. Jim is highly credentialed and knowledgeable, but does not hesitate to tell you the limits of his expertise in any particular area. Days after the inspection, they readily answered questions when I called, and even made a recommendation for an expert to do a further investigation for us. Overall, we felt the service was first quality. We needed solid, factual data to aid us in making a major purchase decision, and I feel we got exactly what we needed. For the caliber of service rendered, the price was very reasonable. I would not hesitate to recommend Jim and Joyce Gendill and Anasazi Home Inspections to any prospective home buyer, and I will definitely use them if I need this service again in the future

Great. I was concerned about small cracks in my exterior brick and a few interior drywall cracks. He told me the brick cracks were heat expansion. He inspected my entire home interior and exterior and gave great suggestions and a detailed report, showing no problems other than normal settling and aging of the structure. He was very thorough, knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. I would definitely call him again. The price was reasonable

  • PowerLift Foundation Repair - Oklahoma City
The initial meeting went as scheduled and the game plan and price was agreed to based on their analysis of my problem. Nine piers were to be installed at two locations. We scheduled the work for the following month at my request. The Power Lift team appeared on time as planned and began work immediately. One area of our foundation was a bit of a surprise because the builder had utilized a significant amount of excess concrete in that area of the stem wall footing. This resulted in a considerable amount of excess labor to remove the concrete but permitted the use of a different type of pier which eliminated one of the originally planned piers. In conclusion they installed 8 piers and resolved the structural issues as initially identified and discussed. The bill was significantly less than the initial estimate since one planned pier was ultimately unnecessary and they absorbed the additional labor on the excess concrete removal (a couple of hours of extra work). The damage to our foundation plants and shrubs was minimal given the nature of the work required. Clean up was okay when you recognize this is not a landscape company. Time will tell just how effective Power Lift's solution to our problem has been but to this point I'm pleasantly surprised and pleased with the service they provided. I would not hesitate to recommend them

We were very pleased! Response to our initial call was quick; inspector was very professional; the verbal report was clear, and the written report came within the next couple of days.

Mr. Pendergraf was punctual and provided an evaluation of the brick work over the garage. He also inspected the rest of the outside of the house. His report was thorough and easy to comprehend. He, as a structural engineer, determined that minor repairs were all that were needed instead of removing and replacing the brick work. His report saved us at least $2000. I would use him again

  • Anasazi Engineering
After discovering some cracks along the north wall of our home, we investigated and then decided to contact a structural engineer for a professional analysis as to why the cracks were appearing at certain points within the foundation and structure of the home and what we needed to do to fix the problem. After reviewing Angie's List, we noticed Anasazi Engineering reviews were very positive so we contacted Mr. Gendill, the owner, and set up an appointment to evaluate the condition of the property. Mr. Gendill arrived promptly, was very professional and thoroughly explained as a structural engineer what his skill set provided and how his assessment could help us pinpoint what exactly was creating the cracks in the walls and what steps to take to repair the problem. The assessment took about 2 hours. Once Mr. Gendill was finished with the review and evaluation, he stated that he would provide a written report and recommendations to explain his findings to us within 3 days. The engineering report was emailed to us within 3 days at a cost of $400. The cost and information I received was more than worth the price when one considers the technical information and insight that was provided to repair the problems. I would highly recommend Anasazi Engineering and Mr.Gendill as an excellent structural engineer
