  • CNM Home Repairs

He was punctual, his price was comparable to the others I compared, he was very courteous, he was just fantastic. He installed the screen and then my son was so accustomed to there not being a screen there he just walked through so I called him and he came back a week later and installed the toughest screen material available and charge me half the price.

Job well done at a reasonable price. Very professional, punctual, friendly disposition and helpful attitude. Walter even went out of his way to fit my schedule, despite this being a relatively small job. Highly recommend!

  • Renaissance Man, LLC
    5.0
My experience with Thomas Koch, Renaissance Man, LLC, was excellent from day one. I bought the duplex in January, 2014 and spent 2 months interviewing contractors and sub-contractors. I wanted to save money by not hiring a general contractor; the last time I renovated a house, 20 years ago, I hired a general contractor and paid him hand over fist without knowing better. Although Thomas is a general contractor and has excellent sub-contractors, he didn't mind if I hired my own sub-contractors; he even helped me coordinate the Electrician, HVAC Co., Plumber and Floor man. You have to understand, I'm a perfectionist who had never personally overseen a renovation to this extent before. I didn't know how to do it, and I was very nervous. All I knew is I had to keep within my budget. The most frustrating part about finding workers is getting the quotes. They would come to the house, listen to everything I wanted to do and leave, only to send me a quote 3 weeks later. By that time, they had forgotten what they had actually seen, and their quotes didn't include everything. I couldn't compare apples to apples with these guys, because they were so disorganized with their quotes, and I couldn't trust the quote, since they obviously had forgotten what work we had discussed. Thomas was very efficient. He quoted me quickly on what I needed done. He kept to the quote and didn't nickel and dime me. Of course I made changes, and there were some unexpected issues, but the change order prices were quite fair. Change orders are a perfect opportunity for contractors to gouge you, because you're in the middle of the job and they know you are somewhat over a barrel. Thomas never took advantage and never got frustrated with my changes. Overall, Thomas gutted and re-modeled kitchens, removed wallpaper from walls, re-mudded plaster, patched plaster and sheetrock from holes made by the electrician, moved a closet, re-screened porches, patched and refinished floors, did some tile work and painted the interior of this 4 bedroom, 2 bath duplex. Thomas and his men were professional, always showed up, cleaned up well (although not everyday), did excellent work , began the job within 2 weeks of being hired and finished in record time. Even after the last check had been paid and the job was complete, he would come back to do little jobs for me, like fixing damage the moverscaused, such as broken windows and banged up walls. It really wasn't the movers fault. That refrigerator was just too big! I highly recommend Renaissance Man, LLC and would use them again.

  • First Glass Window Treatment

Everything went extremely well. Tim came out to do the estimate and pickup the screens for repair the same day. He came back and completed the job a day and a half later. He was friendly and professional the entire time. He kept us informed about the progress and when he would come do the install. He ended up coming after normal business hours just to meet the deadline he promised. I highly recommend First Glass and would definitely hire again.

  • Tool Belt Services LLC Handyman Service
    5.0
We liked Greg from the 1st meeting to get an estimate from Tool Belt Services LLC. He is professional, thorough and my husband and I got a good feeling on our initial walk-thru. We were very satisfied with the estimate and originally agreed to have Tool Belt Services improve the front of the house by removing the screens and framing on front porch, cleaning, and painting the stucco on front and inner porch, front door, sidelights and transom, rebuild and paint the front porch screen door and install door sweeps/seals on door and sidelights, treat and paint the ironwork and hand rails on front porch and front stairs, rebuild and paint the front porch screen door and install the dryer vent. As we observed the quality of their work, we were more than happy and asked Greg if they could also paint the 2 windows in the front of the house, which I failed to consider when doing the initial estimate and he gladly worked it in. They completed all of the above in 4 days - they don't waste time!! We then asked if they could install subway tile in the kitchen. He worked up an estimate, provided before and after pictures of a previous tile installation they did and it looked great!! He scheduled the installation just 2 work days later and now, my kitchen tiles looks great! He then installed a microwave/vent hood. Couldn't have gone any better. Greg and Adam are back today to seal the grout and rebuild, paint and hang 2 screen doors. Greg and Adam are always punctual, asks questions when there are different options to choose, and very easy to work with. We would absolutely have them back! The best experience in repair and improvements for our home that we have ever had! I would gladly recommend Tool Belt Services LLC!

  • RICK'S HANDYMAN SERVICE

Rick returned my voice mail message within a day and was on time every day he came. He cleaned as he went and was very organized. He never had a problem with my dog or my cats and they seemed to love him. He took very brief lunch breaks and never left earlier than we had agreed on. He went over the list with me as he updated it and asked which of the items I wanted worked on as priorities. Everything went very well and was an overall very good experience. I am extremely satisfied and can't wait to get the "new list" stuff done. Thanks, Rick!
