SOD Home GroupWe hired SOD Home Group for a full home remodeling, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Within a couple days of contacting them, Oren and his designer were at our house taking measurements and putting together all of their ideas. I think they came over 3 times for about several hours each, completely free before we approved and signed the project. The spent time and extra attention was THE main reason we felt good about moving forward with SOD Home Group.The overall process took longer than expected, but nearly all the delays were waiting on the city for permits or appliances delayed because of Covid.Each and every worker at the teams that came to the house wore masks and always laid out protective plastic and paper as to not damage any personal items. The workers were all super friendly and always cleaned up after each day.My wife and I changed our mind a few times throughout the remodeling, and it was always well received by Oren and the office staff. We even received a couple changes complimentary because Oren was so generous.Overall, we are beyond happy with the final remodeling product we got and our new home looks stunning and it has made the most used rooms in our house 100x more enjoyable to be in. SOD Home GroupWe have had Oren and the crew from SOD Home Group do three large projects for us. They first extended our garage. We received many compliments on that project because they took the time to make it match our existing home. Next, we added two bedrooms and a bathroom to the back of our home. Again the design and final product match our home perfectly. Our recent project was an extension of our roofline on the back of the house to give us a nice covered patio. Our only regret was not thinking of it when the addition was done. At that time we happy with the final look and decided to extend the roof line on our front porch too. It was getting full sun and was always too hot. We are very pleased with the work SOD Home Group does for us. We have a couple of small jobs left and will be calling them for that too. Janny, Jose & Tony took care of a moldy ceiling for us, recommended 3rd party environmental testing companies for the all clear and a general contractor to patch up the work and all was resolved in just a few days! Restoration 1 of IrvineJanny (the owner), Tony and Jason did an excellent job with the remediation of the mold and water damage caused by the leak in our kitchen. They helped greatly in determining the source of the leak (which wasn't obvious at first) and documented thoroughly the evidence with photos and videos throughout the project. They removed only what was necessary and, with extra effort, carefully preserved and kept in place our relatively new quartzite countertop. Throughout the project, their communication was great. They were professional, competent, courteous, and always on time. After the project, while receiving estimates for our kitchen rebuild, a couple of contractors commented on the high quality and thoroughness of their work. He knows how to solve problems. Most importantly, he is a good person with good intentions. He understands the way of our world where quality work and customer care matter. Pure Restoration basically reconstructed my home after a horrible combination of fire and water damage. I am married with two small kids and uprooting us from our home was stressful, but Tommy did not add to the stress. Three months ago, in early November (2017), I discovered a problem with one of the dry-walls in my kitchen. It seemed to be water-related but I could not see what was going on. I suspected some sort of water-leak. I was not sure how to proceed, but in reviewing the list of contractors on Angie's List I found Zimax. They advertised what seemed like the skill-set I needed and they were local. I called them and they were able to respond quickly (1-2 hours). They immediately were able to diagnose the problem, cutting into the wall and finding the cold-water line that had failed. They summoned a plumber for me, who replaced the failed section of pipe. Unfortunately, the water had gone down and under the floor in my kitchen/dining area and into the master-bath that was on the other side of the wall. What then was required was to expose all of the areas that had been soaked and start a drying process. The soaked area proved to be quite extensive so quite a bit of my kitchen tile sub-floor, dining area sub-floor, and master bath tile sub-floor was very wet. Zimax had the equipment and expertise to effect the drying process, which took approximately 10 days. They also had all of the general contractor skills needed to restore all of those areas. This turned out to be quite a bit of work, since the damaged tile and hardwood flooring could not be matched, it all had to be replaced. Approximately four weeks was required to acquire the materials and accomplish the task. Considering the scale of the work, this was a not a slow pace. My goal was to get my house back to the condition it had been before the pipe failed. I can tell you that I hosted a Super Bowl party a few days ago and the guests who did not previously know that I had gone through this process did not notice any differences in my house until they were told what had happened. So, mission accomplished thanks to Zimax. I have found Zimax to be all that they say they are. They are responsive to the customer's needs and deliver what they sign up for. I would not hesitate to hire then again for any general contracting task. And it is good to know that they have the emergency response skills set if I ever need it again. Dave Bradley

Eddie and his sister could not have been more compassionate for us as we were not able to get a hotel room. They went out of their way to keep us safe. It was quite a project with all the tents they had to put up and to wear that heavy garb in the heat we were having at the time and no air conditioning. They worked very hard all day, each day and we felt that they did a very thorough job. We were very impressed with their integrity, honesty and devotion to their work. When the final day came, after Kapac retested for mold exposure, it was hard to say goodbye to them. It was a relief to have quiet from the fans though!
