A-1 Guaranteed Foundation RepairMarianna was great to speak with while scheduling. She was very helpful in getting my appointment quickly. Friendly and great customer service. Kevin responded on time to do the inspection. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was thorough with his assessment and explained in great detail his findings and recommendations. I have dealt with several foundation companies and have found this one to be the best customer service and based on the reviews I have seen, they deserve them.- David R.

A1 AppraisalRajesh M Mali (TX license number TX-1332180-R) is the owner of A-1 Appraisal. Rajesh was very rude when I spoke with him and barely even looked in the rooms when he walked through our house. He undersized the square footage of the house well below what was in the previous appraisal and tax rolls. I think an appraiser should be able to calculate square footage to the foot. After all, that is a key part of their job! He stated on his appraisal that there were not a sufficient number of recently sold listings in our neighborhood. I had a realtor check on the recent listings. They found more than enough comparable listings in my neighborhood on MLS that were will within the required time of sale for an appraisal. He used an undervalued listing in my neighborhood as a primary comparable as well as a property not in my neighborhood. His appraisal came in lower than one conducted in March of 2019. We have made several improvements to the property since the last appraisal. Those improvements include an 87k swimming pool and decking, an upgrade from a 6-foot builder fence to an 8-foot board-on-board fence, build out of a media room including the addition of cabinets a built in drink refrigerator and a granite countertop, and the remodel of the laundry room including the addition of upper and lower cabinets and granite countertop. Did some research on Rajesh and found where he was found guilty in May of 2017 of violating the Texas Admin Codes 153.20a06, 153.20a12, 155.1 and TexOcc Code 1103.405. The docket (docket number 16-158) listed a finding of "Respondent made material misrepresentations and omissions". Not sure how this guy is still an appraiser. DO NOT use him if you want a fair appraisal of your property. Unfortunately he was hired by my lender as part of a refinance. His less than stellar work caused my refinance not to go through.- Anthony B.

BART GHORMLEY APPRAISALSBart was very friendly, and responded to my phone request for an appraisal very promptly. He kept in touch the whole time, and came out on a Friday. He took photos and some measurements while he was here for the appraisal. He took the time to explain how he would put the appraisal together and his approach. Bart stated that he should have my report to me by Close Of Business on Monday. Bart was able to beat that time, and actually had the results/report to me by Saturday evening. I would definitely use Bart again for an appraisal.- Michael C.

Matthew was originally hired to assist my nephew in preperation for the Parochial High School Admissions exam. Building a relationship with Matthew was the best thing for my nephew. Matthew was very safe going into this situation creating a trusting a environment. Not knowing what he was walking into, Matthew quickly learned that my nephew’s academic inabilities were far more important than preparing for an high school entrance exam. Immediately Matthew begin working on creating a plan of action. He is very patient, yet intentional about holding my nephew accountable. Moreover, he follows up and send reminders for my nephew (I.e. don’t forget to bring your book home from school, remember to work on your math). Although we have a long way to go, it’s safe to say that we are seeing some progress. Thanks Matthew.

LIGHTHOUSE ENGINEERING not affiliated with any foundation repair company so felt i could rely on their evaluation to be unbiased. All steps along the way from inspection to submission of written report were done efficiently, quickly, and professionally. Fortunately I do not need foundation repairs, but they did make some recommendations for some minor masonry and dry wall repairs that i will have done.

Started process in early October 2020. I finally gave up in late January 2021. At one point in December of 2020 I went three weeks without them returning a single call. I gave up and had to eat my appraisal fee of $495.00. Worst service in any field I have ever experienced. Please ask them for their side of this story, they would never reveal the reason for the incompetence to me.

The auction ended and my card was charged for $40, $40, 10. Ok, I should be getting an address to pick up soon? Pickup was today at 10am-5pm. At 10am I sent an email asking for the address or refund. Then I started receiving random charges for $28.9?, $1, $4, 38.9?, $40, $10 and it has continued on since then. I was emailed back that I had unpaid items and the address location would not be released until it was paid in full....as random charges kept being charged or declined. I was told to pay ASAP or my items would be given to the 2nd highest bidder and absolutely no refund would be given; this is a contract...but in their own policy it states, "items will be removed if unable to pay the full balance and paid items will be made available. Perhaps had I not been charged randomly I could have paid the balance, but due to their refusal to stop charging my card, I am unable to pay, the charges that did go through were not applied after the initial 3 payments and they have refused to let me pick up any of my items. Now, I have read through the reviews and I know what the response will be...oh that is not the way the story went so...here are the emails, screen shots and what not (if I can post them...they were nice enough to block me from posting a review on Google) Beware people...there are so many better auction houses out there and much better service. I would just like to add...it's 3:42 pm and they are still trying to charge my card random amounts.
