- OneGuard Home WarrantiesWe have been VERY HAPPY One Guard customers since we first purchased the home warranty service contract about two years ago. Prior to One Guard, we were with a very large home warranty company (beginning with the letter "A"). Our six year experience with that prior home warranty company was nothing short of miserable and frustrating. Every call had to be elevated to upper management in order to get results. On the last call with the prior home warranty company, I decided to ask the service provider who they themselves recommended for a good home warranties. His response was One Guard. I met the area One Gaurd representative and decided to sign up. On our first call with One Guard, the tone and professionalism were remarkably so different in comparison to our prior home warranty company that we were floored. At first, we thought okay, it may be because we are new customers but that assessment was totally wrong. For the past nearly two years, we have had "stellar" service from One Guard. Although we may have experienced one of their "odd" service providers, One Guard stands behind you and looks to the entire picture before making a decision. And if one of their service providers is "odd" they will take the steps to investigate. One Guards employees/call center customer service representatives are each excellent. Whatever One Guard is doing in the ongoing training of their employees...it is working! Although one never wants to call your home warranty company, when it is necessary, it helps tremendously when the company's customer service representatives are: 1- courteous and professional, 2- care about your needs and ask questions to ensure they understand the problem, and 3- answer all your questions and then assess your understanding so that there is no misunderstanding. It is clear One Guard home warranty is a professional, proficient and caring company. It is apparent their management team does what it takes to ensure the company is building positive and strong business relationships...which is how a company stays in business. This past incident, we needed a water heater replaced. The job was done seamlessly from call to One Guard, to the call from their service provider, to the provider's visit and to the repair. Received a call and was told they were havint trouble finding someone to come out, but they would keep trying. They gave me several days credit at a motel, if I wanted to use one. We declined. Shortly after that the sales rep showed up at my front door with a portable unit for us to use until our unit got fixed. All in All a great experiance

They were very friendly on the phone and quickly got in me contact with people to solve the problems for my house.

He gave me pointers on home maintenance and eased my fears. Identified a leaky roof before I purchased the home. The inspection was available in pdf format soon after the inspection

"I sell real estate and having reliable, honest companies you can trust to give straight up honest answers is crucial I have zero tolerance for my clients being mislead. I always refer several companies so my client can investigate and be informed before making a decision on who to choose for any work that needs to be done. "when tech showed up the dryer seemed to be working and heating however it did not when I called, seemed the heating element was cracked creating and off and on working condition. I went ahead to repair the problem by purchasing a new heating element. "On 03-26-2020, we called OneGaurd to report that our water heater was leaking. The reason we knew it was leaking was because the water sensor on our alarm went off. A repair person came to our house March 30, 2020. Their own contractor told us it was "shot" and it needed to be replaced. We waited patiently for them to authorize the necessary repairs. On 04-02-20, we were informed that if we wanted our water heater replaced we would need to pay approximately $451. Putting the monetary issue(s) aside. I asked what our cash payout option would be so, we could make an informed decision about how to proceed, which they were unable to provide us immediately. After several hours delay were informed at approximately 7:31 PM we received a call back (which we missed). OneGuard stated our cash out option was $812. I immediately called them back and they were closed. During the delay my wife was able to get free 2 estimates from Angie's list providers. The open market replacement cost in the area were we lived is/was approximately $2000. So, it make financial sense to have them to the repair. As a result, at 7:41 PM I followed up my phone call with an email, informing Oneguard we were willing to pay the $451 and to please schedule the repair for the next day (04-30-20). Although, we have had some issues in the past dealing with "Home Warranty" company, my wife inadvertently renewed our contract. I would have chosen not to renew. In short, have a broken water heater and not being able to get in repaired or replaced in a timely manner is unconscionable. It has been over a week without a properly functioning water heater. While understand like all insurance type companies Oneguard seeks to control its costs it should not take more than a couple of days to get a water heater replaced or repaired. We are a family of four with 2 children. Suffice, to say it is just another thing to stress about during these difficult time. In short, I would not recommend utilizing this firm for a home warranty. I ask... how would you feel if you and your family did not have a properly functioning water heater for over a week? Enough said!

"First off, they were hired through American home Shield and surprisingly, came out within a couple of hours the same day we called, which was today. Tony, the technician was very professional, very polite and certainly knew what he was doing. Our dryer sounded like it was grinding rocks and when Tony left you could hardly hear it running, fantastic service, excellent workmanship.
I might add, they did not have the parts in their shop but they went to a local distributor and found the parts instead of us having to wait on them ordering them. Dryer up and running same day, great customer service, awesome.

"It took a lot of phone tag to finally get the technician to our house, but once here he was efficient and professional and did an amazing job. The chip was in the edge of a white quartz countertop, very difficult to match perfectly, and the repair is absolutely invisible. Not the lowest bid, but worth the price.
