"Ed arrived a little early but fortunately I had other people doing work and they could give him access. I called U.S.A. Dryer Vent out for what I thought was a routine cleaning. It was a bit more than that but easily taken care of. I have greater peace of mind knowing that a potential fire hazard has been remedied and my new appliance will hopefully last many years."

"This is a top notch cleaning company. I live in California and needed to find a company to clean my daughterâ s apartment in Ohio. My daughter just moved to Ohio to attend The Ohio State University to attend grad school. I was scheduled to fly out to Ohio to help my daughter move to her permanent apartment. Unfortunately, due to the CrowdStrike outage, my flight was cancelled. Holi the owner of the company was kind enough to help my daughter move several large items from her temporary housing to her permanent apartment. We were so grateful. Additionally, my daughter said that they did a great job cleaning the apartment. She was very impressed. We will definitely be using them again."

"John was was very friendly, polite and professional. He arrived early (he did message first). He explained everything clearly as he was working. He stopped at one point and showed me how the vents were (pretty bad). He explained what could be further done to prevent mold growth and gave me the option to have him do the additional work or wait. I chose to get it done and am glad I did. There is a very noticeable improvement in air quality, odors, less dust, etc."

"Excellent! These professionals are always on time, efficient, and are very thorough. They care for our house like it’s theirs, including removing their outside shoes when they come into clean. Everything sparkles after they have cleaned our home! Highly recommend."

"We had our floors stripped and waxed, along with a light deep clean of the bathrooms (2) Lobby/reception(3) along with complete dusting/wipe down and vacuum. The. Royal Sanitation group was professional, friendly and fairly priced with room to negotiate pricing with flexible janitorial packaging. The owner did our walk through himself. He was professional, Respectful and very accommodating. 10/10 service and will be using them in the near future."

Odor Removal FAQs

There are several things to know before hiring a house cleaner to do any work on your home.

  • What services do they offer?

  • Do they work alone or with a company?

  • Do they have any references you can check?

  • Do they conduct background checks on employees?

  • When can they get you an estimate?

  • Do they have insurance?

  • Do they offer a guarantee?

  • How do they set rates?

  • Do they bring cleaning supplies and equipment?

  • Do you need to be home when they clean?

  • What arrangements do you need to make for pets?

  • Is there a written contract?

The average cost to hire a house cleaner is between $30 and $50 per hour. Costs vary depending on house size, the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and the type of cleaning you want. Deep cleaning will be more expensive since it requires more time and effort to move furniture and clean hard-to-reach areas compared to a standard cleaning session.

The average house cleaner cost is around $180, which should cover about four hours of work. However, each project is different and costs can range from $100 to $1,000, depending on the house size and the cleaning needed. Other cost factors can include your location and what level of cleaning you want. Standard or basic cleaning may include vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting the kitchen and bathrooms. Deep cleaning costs about twice as much and often includes cleaning behind and underneath furniture, washing windows, and polishing hard-to-clean surfaces. Emergency cleaning, extreme cleaning, and holidays also impact pricing. Move-in and move-out cleaning typically cost more, too, because of the extensive, whole-house cleaning involved.

No, house cleaners do not necessarily need to be certified or licensed. Each state has its own requirements for licensing and certifications for companies, but most states don't require any special training to clean a home. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local house cleaner guidelines.

Although tipping is not a requirement, many people tip house cleaners around 10% to 15% of the final cleaning cost. Some people tip as much as 20% or more, but it’s up to your discretion. Rather than tipping each cleaning session, you can also tip monthly or give the house cleaner a holiday bonus. There are no rules for tipping, but if your house cleaner did a great job it’s encouraged.
