The quality of the work was fine, although since it hasn't rained much since the gutter work was completed, it's hard to know. However, the company quoted me an "estimated" price that was to be based on the actual number of hours it took to complete the work. It took fewer hours, primarily because the second guy who was supposed to be there the whole time was only there about half the time. Then the company charged me for both guys to be there the whole time -- an overcharge of hundreds of dollars. (When I complained, they promptly took $700 out of the bill, so I have no complaints about the final price.) I think the two guys who were doing the work were actually putting one over on their employer by saying they were working when they were not (resulting in the overcharge to me) but it appears there was no supervision or review of what they were doing or how long it was taking. One of the guys also tried to sell me on doing some other work that "wouldn't be covered by the company" but would be charged through the company. In other words, he would perform the work, on company time, and the time charges would show up on my invoice, but since the work was not described in the company's estimate, the company would not stand behind it. It would be an understatement to say that the professionalism left a lot to be desired.
