"Mike and his crew performed painting of our full interior for our home outside of Riverton, this year we hired him to stain our cabin and paint the metal on our shop. They performed professionally and and did an excellent job with no problems, no errors! They fixed the runs and bad texture on our interior left by the previous "painters." We liked that Mike's crew wasn't inexperienced like we dealt with last time. Plus he was the only painter that answered the phone when we were calling for quotes. We've recommended to our friends and will use them again in the future!"

Integrity is a local company and was founded upon one majior principle, we believe so much in it we made it our company name. Integrity. We live here, our families lives here. I want to look every one in the eyes when I see you out in public. I know that we may not always be perfect, but we will always make it right. I was born in Laramie and raised in Cheyenne. "Pinnacle installed my roof a year ago and a few days ago in a severe windstorm, the roof began peeling away from my home. I contacted Ty Robertson at Pinnacle and he immediately dispatched two men who despite the high winds secured the roof back on my home and will return again today to make further repairs. I really am impressed with the service and the professionalism of this company. I would definitely recommend their services."

Deck Maintenance questions, answered by experts

There are several methods for attaching stair stringers to a deck. The best way is to bolt the stringers to the deck joists using three carriage bolts in a triangular pattern. This method offers the sturdiest fit for stairs that won’t budge. Alternatively, attach the stringers to the deck rims using lag bolts or to the posts using adjustable slope hangers.

When it comes to rotten deck wood, there really is no fixing it in the traditional sense—it needs to be removed and replaced. While you can certainly do this yourself, we don’t recommend it as some of the issues causing wood to rot could have spread throughout your deck and an untrained eye may not be able to notice. The good news is that replacing deck wood isn’t the most expensive project, and can seriously increase the quality and aesthetics of your home.

Start with a 60- or 80-grit sandpaper when sanding a deck, though this could change depending on the type of wood that comprises the deck and how smooth you want the overall finish. If you prioritize a smooth final finish, progress to a finer grit like 120 or 150. Avoid ultra-fine grits for traditional sanding, as it could close up the wood pores and make it harder to apply a finish down the line.

Most two-person porch swings are rated to hold up to 500 pounds or more. However, each swing manufacturer has its own recommended weight limits, with some as low as 250 pounds while others are as high as 800 pounds. Always double-check the manufacturer’s guide and stay within the recommended range when in doubt.

The best way to sand a deck is by cleaning it, sanding the boards and stairs with 60- or 80-grit sandpaper, and sanding the railings and posts with 80-grit sandpaper. You should sand in the direction of the wood grain to avoid damaging the timber. When sanding your deck, use medium pressure and aim for an even sand. Pressing too hard with a sander can damage decks, as most are softwoods.
