"Hall Construction worked with us to build a new addition. They first removed a flat roof enclosed porch. A new addition was built on the existing foundation with new roof trusses and metal roofing and insulated walls and ceilings. New electrical service was added along with a mini split HVAC system. New flooring, drywall and windows make the room one of our favorite spaces. We also had Hall Construction replace the metal roof on our 80 year old barn. Both projects were completed in the timeframe promised and both were under budget. It was great to find a contractor that helped us get our projects finished. I would not hesitant to hire them again for any other projects that we might have in the future. I highly recommend Hall Construction for any building projects that you might have. My wife and I appreciate the quality work from Hall Construction."

"Home and changes are fine, but footer leaks and had to install sump pump and dehumidifier with full encap in crawl space. Also, builder didn’t use full dimensional lumber, but used ijoists without fire protection. Carried plastic gas line through the crawl space wall. Used 5x5 wooden piers to hold up my home instead of building block piers. Had to install jack posts to cover for this."

Brick stain doesn’t peel or chip and is much more durable than painting. That’s because the staining is absorbed into the brick instead of lingering on the surface as paint does. Painting brick is porous, meaning it’s full of tiny holes that can soak up moisture. Those holes also allow it to dry, though. So, when you paint it, you trap any moisture inside, providing an opportunity for mold, mildew, and water damage.

Paint also shows wear faster than naked brick. This means that once you paint a brick surface, you’ll have to keep painting it to maintain a clean look. A paint job is also harder to undo on brick because of its porous nature. Once you paint it, it’s hard to go back without some serious power washing—another added cost.

Stay on top of vacuuming to prevent scratches from deteriorating stone faster, deep clean your stone surfaces using a pH-neutral cleaning solution at least once a year, and reseal the stone every one to five years, depending on foot traffic or usage.
