We would like to take a moment to clarify a few things so that other members who might read your review have a better understanding as to the circumstances surrounding your situation. On September 30, 2015 we received a message via our answering service at 8:05am from you stating that someone was needed to check your basement due to water coming in between the floor and the wall. Upon receipt of your call, the message was immediately delivered to our Wheeling office. Please keep in mind that your call was received the day after our Wheeling territory received 5” of rain in one day. Our office returned your call within twenty minutes of your initial call to gather all of the necessary facts regarding your basement. We called you again later that same afternoon to let you know that we were dealing with a large amount of calls and we were working diligently to arrange a technician to visit your home. The very next morning (October 1, 2015) you were again contacted by our office to arrange an appointment date and time. You were subsequently scheduled to meet with one of our waterproofing technicians on October 8, 2015 at 3:00pm. Our waterproofing technician arrived exactly on time, as scheduled at 3:00pm on October 8, 2015, to perform an extensive evaluation of your basement. After his evaluation, he provided a verbal estimate for the cost of our waterproofing services. As a common procedure, our proposals are typically created offsite so that our in-house engineers are able to review the technician’s findings and make any necessary suggestions. After the engineers’ review of our technician’s findings, pictures, videos and what was verbally proposed to you the scope of work was changed slightly. These changes were verbally communicated to you via telephone the very next afternoon (October 9, 2015) and the written proposal was emailed to you that same evening. We understand that our firm is higher priced than others. We offer top of the line products and services and, yes, we are the Cadillac equivalent when it comes to these products and services. If you are interested, I (Owner of Engineered Foundation Solutions) will gladly meet with you to discuss why we are higher priced and the numerous reasons why we are different than other firms. With all of this being said, we are struggling to find the justification behind your ratings as we did everything possible to accommodate your needs. Our products and services certainly differ from others and our pricing reflects that difference.
