I've built chicken coops on utility trailers, decks, fencing, a chevron fireplace veneer, and furniture. I've repaired water heaters, fridges, microwaves, sinks, ovens, ranges, washing machines, dryers , light electrical systems, drywall, light plumbing, and more. You should use either a 3:1 or 4:1 ratio of paint to paint thinner in most cases. The amount of paint should always be higher than the amount of paint thinner.

In some cases, you may be able to skip the primer and paint over old paint. If you’re painting over paint that’s in good condition and is a similar color and finish to the new paint, you probably don’t need to use primer.
