"When I contacted C&G Painting Company LLC, Carlos provided a same-day estimate for painting the exterior of my brother's very neglected house that was built in 1939. The crew arrived the day after we agreed on the price, power-washed the house, made repairs as needed, and painted the house. How they managed to make the house almost look like new is a miracle. An exterior paint job lasts an average of 5 to 10 years, although some might only last 2 or 3 years and others up to 20 years. How often you need to paint your home’s exterior depends on various factors. There are several pros and cons to brick houses, including the fact that painted brick requires more maintenance than bare brick. For one, you need to repaint the surface every 10 or so years. Unpainted brick, on the other hand, may need cleaning periodically, but you won’t need to go to the same levels you would for painted brick.

You can paint over wallpaper, but it’s not usually recommended, especially if the wallpaper underneath is textured or dirty. If you do decide to paint your wallpaper, make sure it’s in good condition and clean it very well. Make sure all corners and edges of wallpaper are glued down before you paint, as well.
