Pretty painlessly. The electrician did a good job, the circuit works and we don't have to reset a breaker whenever someone plugs a vacuum into the wrong outlet. The price was a little high as I wasn't aware of the trip charge. But hey it might be worth it for the quality!

He worked quickly and efficiently. Was meticulous about details. I will certainly call them again.

I purchased the Deal of the Day, which was for 2 hours of electrical work including the trip charge. The owner, Brent, phoned me to discuss my needs & concerns ahead of time. He allowed me to dictate a date & time of day which worked best for me. He was informative & professional to deal with. On the day of the work, Kevin (Master Electrician) arrived several minutes prior to the appointed hour. He was on task immediately inspecting everything electrical in my house: things that commonly are done incorrectly over the years & a few specific items I asked him to review for my own peace of mind. Finally, I had him replace an old outlet/receptacle with the new style tamper resistant grounded outlet as I watched & learned. I had him teach me the process so that I could do the same task for several more throughout my home. I had Kevin watch me (he was a very good teacher!) as I replaced my first outlet. He gave me several great tips. He even went over which items I should purchase from a home center (similar to his tools) if I want to make the job go smoother & which specific types of wire, ground screws, etc. to purchase. He gave me good news on my inspection today, but was careful to note the potential risks I could face in the future, given what he saw. He took a photo of my circuit breaker box. The plan is for him to write up a bid as to replacement of service costs. I don't have to do it immediately, but plan to have it done along with my next remodeling project. Kevin left me with his card & said I could call at any time with questions or issues. He left exactly 2 hours after he arrived. I was very satisfied since I got everything out of the visit that I wanted & Kevin was very pleasant to work with.

The work done was excellent. Electrician was very professional and thorough. Showed up on time, did the work in 2 hours and cleaned up after himself. Was pleasant to talk to as well.

We were very pleased overall ... everything worked great. The owner of The Electrician Inc (Brent) and the contractor who did the work were very professional. We definitely plan on using them again for out next job.

It was great. They arrived on time, cleaned up any mess, and offered to put the first coat of drywall on a repair spot. Work was completed as expected and both electricians were courteous and a pleasure to work with.

These folks were an absolute breeze to work with. Work was done well and quickly. Electricians were courteous and capable. We will be making a list for future work and when we have enough things to do we hope they'll run another Angie's List special.

Dealt with Brent in getting an estimate and scheduling the work. He was very responsive and willing to work around my schedule. Note that I supplied all parts and he was fine with that. On the day of the job, 2 electricians performed the work. They were pleasant and conscientious. The work was performed in half a day and there was minimal cleanup afterwards. Afterwards, when I had a question on the work performed, Brent actually stopped by to take a look. I highly recommend The Electrician and plan to use them in the future

I purchased the coupon for 1 hour of services on Angie's list. I contacted Brent and let him know that i wasn't in any hurry and to just fit me in when he was in the neighborhood. He called when he was near and came over to perform the requested services. The original work i needed done only took 30 minutes. When completed, he suggested some other things (preventative maintenance) to look over since i had already paid for the 1 hour of service. Brent was very professional, friendly, and work was very clean. I would highly recommend him.

The staff arrived promptly and communicated extremely well regarding the work they would be doing. They discovered faulty wiring and called me at work to get permission to replace the wiring to meet code requirements. Brent did an excellent job providing detail in the quote and in the invoices so there was no room for confusion. This is a topnotch operation and I'll be using them again for my next project. lisa

We established an agreement for the work to be done with my first phone call, and set a date that was mutually agreeable (much sooner than I had anticipated -- less than a week from time of call). Early on the day the work was to be done, owner called to tell me that due to a heavy storm the night before, the required inspectors from the city would not be available, and we would need to set a new date, which we did. The date arrived, two very courteous and professional technicians arrived, explained what they were going to do, did it, cleaned up afterwards, had me check the work before they left, and even did a couple of minor electrical "fixes" on a couple of faulty wall switches where were not part of the contract. My son-in-law, who has had considerable experience in home building and repair, took a look at their work a few days later and said, "Wow! These guys really knew what they were doing! I would hire this firm to change batteries in my flashlight or rewire my whole house. They're as good as craftsmen can get.

The process went very smoothly with good communication through out. When doing the work, the electrician ran into something unexpected from our previous post lamp. He communicated the issue to us and kept working on trying to find a solution without having to do part of the job and then return the following week. He was successful in coming up with a solution that worked, and our new outdoor post light looks and works great!

Shawn was excellent. He was very accommodating about issues regarding access to my driveway and the fact that I had other service providers in my house at the same time. He was very careful to clean up after himself. I appreciated his patience with discussing estimates for future work. I really felt like he and Brent went the extra mile to make sure I was satisfied.

Excellent work, reasonable prices. Explains things well.

The final service provided was great , but overall he was a bit disorganized and somewhat disjointed/ unprepared. Pricing for additional service was fair. I would recommend him to others, but you must be very clear about date/time of appointment and services required.

This company was easy to work with and did an excellent job. Highly recommended.

This was a great deal from Angie's list & The Electrician. Brent was punctual, kind and did a wonderful job. He was able to install two ceiling fans and another light fixture for us in under 2 hours. I will definitely use him in the future. In fact, I am getting an estimate from him for some more work.

The electricians did a great job. They were professional and completed their job in a timely manner.

Brent Yauchler arrived on time and got to work. He answered any questions I had. He showed me how to install a halogen light bulb in a ceiling fan light figure. Brent was an excellent electrician, and I'll use his services from now on knowing I'm getting quality work the first time at a good price (unlike prior experiences with other electrical companies)

Brent was on time and did a great job installing an outlet on drywall and installing ceiling fans. He did his work very fast. I would strongly recommend him.

Brent contacted me via email at work the day after I bought the Angie's List promotional offer, asked me to describe our needs, didn't seem daunted by the description of what had transpired up until that point, even though I did my best to scare him away with my stories of amateur electricians making error after error on our own. The day of our appointment, Brent showed up on time and stayed until work was completed, using some materials we already had on hand, and creatively adopting efforts already spent, twisting them just enough to make our City Inspector satisfied with the work as completed.It was a high 90 degree hot afternoon, but he helped take the heat off of us and solved the dilemma we had literally dug ourselves into.I am wholeheartedly looking forward to having Brent and his crew out to finish a couple more projects on my list.

We bought the Angie's List deal for 2 hours of labor for $74.00. We thought this was a great deal because we needed several things done. When the electrician, Bo, came to do the work he was very thorough in his explanation of how he thought he might install a new outlet. Initially he didn't think he would be able to based on the way our basement was built. He did take quite a bit of time but was able to find a solution. When he was finishing up he mentioned that the deal we purchased from Angie's List was really only for 1.5 hours because there was 30 minute travel time included in the 2 hours of labor. This made me slightly upset and I told him that if this was the case they should have just advertised it as 1.5 hours of labor for $74. He spoke to Brent, the owner, and they did credit us for the 30 minutes. We were very happy with the work.

First time used this company and did so based on recommendations of this list. We were not disappointed. The work was done in a timely manner and done well. We are having them do additional work at our house.

I bought a home built in 1926 in New Glarus, WI. It was full of knob and tube wiring, and while this isn't dangerous per se, prior owners had made some foolish splices, and there was little to no ground-wiring. I didn't let my fiance' or myself sleep in the home until the old wiring was gone. While driving around looking at homes for sale, I merely saw Mr. Yauchler's van, wrote the number down, and called months later when I had a home that needed help. I was pleasantly surprised at the rates. We were on a time and materials basis, and Brent let me observe and help with the process. I don't know if I saved anything by getting my own materials, but between some of the big box stores I not only knew I had reasonable materials costs, I knew every piece, the terminology to describe it, and the education was great. I had the luxury of being off work when Brent was at my home, so I could answer any question on the spot, make decisions that spared telephone-tag, and help things along, even if it was as simple as holding a vacuum or unwinding new cable. I also don't know if I saved anything by "helping", but being there was enormously educational, possibly helpful to the process, and there were no surprises at all. Brent's workmanship is exceptional, so not only is the work to code, he wanted the job to look good; for example, there are no wires hanging and looping below the joists in the basement, we took the time to drill and run them. The wiring coming into the electrical panels is the cleanest looking I've ever seen. Instead of a jumbled, tangled mass of wires, It is organized, labelled, and tucked away, so there is ample room in the service panel. Every run, every J-box, the whole project, is laid out neat, tidy, logically, and labelled. I have used The Electrician for every electrical job in the home since 2009, and about once a year after. After the initial gut and re-wire, I had them run some GFI outlets for a new washer and a new dryer line. Just this year, I had them future-proof an attic that was getting spray-foam insulation in preparation for finishing it, we added two outside GFI boxes for the yard, and hooked up the water heater to the latest code. Brent has other electricians (Journeyman and Master) that work for him, and all 3 that I have worked with both at home and at my business were on the same level of excellence. In my business, The Electrician helped track down some mysteries, we split up an overloaded circuit that blew every time we used a vacuum cleaner, and we're getting ready to add some track lighting. I will use The Electrician for my home and business until Brent gets sick of me asking questions while he's working. In conclusion: Great, Reasonable, Efficient = Hire them.

I had used him as a subcontractor on some of my prior projects and he's excellent. Owner operated and actually one of my better subcontractors I've used. I would definitely use him in the future.
