The service was fine and they were very pleasant. There were some clarity issues about the Angie’s List discount and when I called they adjusted it.

Dave was great. He was on time, laid down drop cloths under the work area and under his area of travel in the house. He wore booties to make sure he didn't track any dirt or insulation. Dave noticed that the fixture box was not up to code and that it should have a brace backing it. He installed that, moved the fixture 8 inches to be centered appropriately, checking with a laser level. This job required attic work as well, which was tackled with no issues. Some wiring abnormalities surfaced, which he corrected as well. Everything was done in a timely fashion while still being very personable. Email correspondence with the office staff was prompt and clear, as was convenience of scheduling. All appropriate parties were kept in the loop and communication lines were efficient. We may require some recessed lighting to be added to our kitchen in the future and will most definitely have The Electrician put in a bid.

They were fantastic. He came out for the quote in the fall, but he came to do the work in mid December. I told them that they are our go to electrician, and we will be using them for everything. I have recommended to friends and family as well.

Electrician boss not only replied to my email but even checked out my blog, very personable. Eletrician serviceman (Dave) arrived slightly late but also stayed late to accomodate it past their usual stop time on a Friday. All questions were answered; outlets were placed exactly where needed, and were of a high quality. Technician was friendly to small curious children. Technician accidentally broke a wine bottle that was sitting on a table -- tipped over -- mentioned it to his boss and I believe we incurred additional $20 off for it. Overall work and experience was excelelent and would recommend highly to anyone in Madison area looking for professional and courteous service.

We had a ceiling lamp that was a fan that had shorted out. We had him take out the old fan and install a new one. He replaced a dimmer switch at no additional cost. He also looked at our heater and told us we needed the heater rewired. The service was really good, I was very happy with him. He did a great job cleaning up after the work.

It was very good. They did a good job. They did what they were supposed to.

Overall, I was very happy with their work. They left the place clean, and did a good job of explaining things. Dave even helped me figure out where to move the dining room light fixture. My only disappointment was that I had asked them to install an extra outlet in the bedroom, which they forgot. They also forgot to put a rough patch around one of the outlets they installed, so the jagged edge of the hole was visible even with the outlet cover on. The bill did come in well over their bid due to factors out of their control, but Brent was very responsive to my concerns and even gave me a discount.

Air conditioner circuit was miswired. Did not discover until next summer. Problem was taken care of within 48 hours.

Fixed and put in new electirical box

Chris and Cole installed 3 can lights and 3 pendants in my kitchen. It was a bit more difficult than they first thought. It was necessary to use the attic and had to run more wire and add switches. We love what they did. Very professional and even cleaned up afterwards.

The guy sent over was clearly new at his job. He had to call his supervisor many times to know how to do the job correctly. They took much longer than what they were supposed to be here for and I ended up having to pay more because of that. However, they were friendly and courteous.

Installed 2 outside porch lights on 110 year old house and made wiring adjustments.

Repeat service from this contractor. Prompt in scheduling. Great customer service and great quality work. Very happy with them and will continue to use them for all my electrical needs.

We did not interact with him directly during the service, but our tenant reported that he was very professional and courteous. It's an older house and the wiring in that section is a little tricky. The Big Deal we purchased was for one hour of work, but it took three to get the old light moved and put in a better one. He got the work done to our tenant's satisfaction, which was the most important thing. My husband would have liked a call after he assessed the situation to find out what his plan was, but we were not explicit about that, so it's not the electrician's fault. Overall, we are pleased with this provider and would use him again. The work has held up well.

They Got rid of a double tap and installed 2 GFCI outlets to satisfy the requirements of a Inspection report when I was selling my house. The electrician was on time and did the work required in an efficient and professional manner.

Every project I've completed with Brent and The Electrician, Inc. has been an excellent experience. Brent's first trip out was very, very short notice (same day) and he still came out and fixed some old wiring preventing me from installing a ceiling fixture. He was pleasant, professional and efficient. Shawn, one of the other electricians, came out a couple of weeks later to install some sconces and a new outlet in my bathroom. He also cleaned up some messy old wiring found behind some paneling that was coming through my hardwood floors. He, too, was very professional and efficient. Chris completed the installation of a very old, rewired fixture for me just today. He, too, was prompt, efficient and professional. The Electrician clearly hires excellent employees who seem to genuinely enjoy their work and the people they work with. They've been respectful of my home and my time every time they've worked on projects here and I cou. To date, I don't think I've had a better experience with a service provider. Thank you!

Went pretty good. They were on time. They ran into a problem with the new fixture and they worked with the vendor to get a replacement fixture that same day. They also installed a wall sconce with no issues.

I recently moved into a 1956 house that needed electrical updating. This was another visit by Dave, the master electrician of The Electrician, Inc., and true to his title he did another masterful job of correcting the electrical inadequacies of my home and bringing the system up to par. Nothing is too challenging for him; he knows the field. He's also great to work with and I will continue to call him as improvement is needed in my house.

Technician was here within two hours of my call. He was courteous, friendly and very knowledgeable. He removed the light fixture for service because it is high and awkward to reach in front hall of split level home. Not only did he fix the socket, but he replaced glass panels that had come out of the fixture in the past, and then graciously allowed me time to clean all the glass before he re-hung it. It was a totally satisfying experience from my first telephone call to a friendly office representative to the end of the appointment. I will gladly recommend this service to friends and neighbors.

It went very well and we were very pleased. They did a great job. They were here on time. They were polite. They were talkative but not overly talkative. They were willing to put up with the house even if we were in the middle of moving. Everything went very well.

It took three to four weeks to come and do the service. They should have come within two weeks, but I would prefer one week. The service was okay. They did a good job.

From my first contact through the service everyone was personable and very professional. The electrician was on time, polite and explained what he did in layman's terms so that I understood it. I won't hesitate to use them again.

After correcting the problems with the outdoor lighting circuit, Dave explained that the problem may not be resolved and we'd have to wait and see. Subsequently the breaker tripped again and then a couple of the lights on the circuit went out completely. Dave returned and investigated further and discovered that an underground splice had probably failed. The wiring has been in the ground since about 1980 and has probably failed due to age and soil conditions. Dave was able to temporarily correct the problem and now all but one of the lights work. In the spring we'll replace the entire system. This work required spending 2.5 hours outside in 15 degree weather. Throughout this unpleasant task Dave remained cheerful and kept me informed of his progress and findings.

The electrician called before arriving and also called to let us know he would be slightly delayed from the earlier time estimate. They responded rapidly to our service request and we're here within 24 hours of our first phone call. The electrician was polite and efficient. We also appreciated the reduced cost as a result of the Angie's list coupon.

Installed a fan timer switch. Re-routed some outlets on basement ceiling. Went very well. Service person was quick, courteous, and explained things well. He also gave us an estimate for a larger future job, including tips on how to reduce its cost.
