Once I set up the delivery date, it took a week. When they got them out here, the carpenter had to move some cupboards because the measurements they gave me were not correct. I had some issues with the people that you call in to get the things set up. The appointment, to get out here, and everybody else except the phone people seemed to be fine. I had a lot of issues with them. They give you a four hour window and I was literally here for the full 4 hours plus 15 minutes waiting, while I could have been doing something else. The phone people were not helpful and friendly at all.
Description of Work: I remodeled my house a year ago, and bought all my appliances from Sears. I bought them in January and they were delivered in March because the house wasn't finished yet. I bought a stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, washer, dryer and microwave.

The service department is horrible. Sears contracts with a company that is not even in the United States. One time I literally waited on hold for two days, before I finally ended the phone call with this contracted company (I just wanted to see how long it may take to actually get to a live person but I gave up). The dryer I purchased has a defect. The dryer door just pops open within 10 minutes of turning it on. The door started popping open as soon as I purchased it and I was diligent right from the start in trying to get it resolved. I find it frustrating that Sears sets up their system so they truly can't stand behind their products. I had Sears come out 3 different times to try to fix the dryer, with no success. I was told that if I have repairman come out four times, I get a new dryer. However, due to the very slow response times of the call centers and then the servicemen to even come out, it was impossible for me to actually have the 4 visits in a year. At this point I am stuck with a $700 dryer that doesn't work, my 1 year of warranty has expired even though I tried to honor it. I am requesting that Sears replace my dryer, but again they are unwilling to do so.
