The worker first showed up alone, said he was sick and went home. He came next time alone but a helper showed up more than an hour later. They installed a bathroom light that was purchased and never asked about if we wanted all 3 features to work, they only hooked up 2. When asked about it, the owner said, "Most people buy these and have no idea it has 3 features", so I told him I wanted it fixed and would not pay for the workers travel time. (He charged me travel time anyway which I had to argue about). Later I found out an electric panel they installed in the basement was hung directly OVER a hole to the outside of the house. When it rained water poured into the house. I wrote a letter asking them to come and correct this and never heard from them. I also wrote a letter telling them that one of the electric outlets they installed in the bathroom never worked. They never replied. I would not recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: A bunch of electric work at a house we bought was needed. The owner of Wellcraft took the inspection report and went verbatim off that but never really asked what we did or didn't want done. But we had them do the work anyway. My realtor had contacted him and he apparently thought he'd been hired by them, because it took over a month to get the bills.

They did a good job for me. Once the electrician arrived, it only took him about 15 minutes to fix it. He cleaned up everything and was polite and professional. The one problem I had was that when I booked the appointment, I was told they had an electrician available to do early morning calls and that he could be at my house by 6 am so I would not have to use vacation time to take time off work. I was thrilled. But on that morning 6 am came and went. I called the company at 6:15 and left a message on the recorder. At 6:30 I called again to say I would have to leave for work so to cancel the appointment. I got a call from the electrician at approximately 6:40 saying he could be there shortly. Apparently they had gotten a call from a client with parking lot lights out, took care of their problem and forgot to reschedule with me or schedule another electrician to handle my call. As I said, he did a great job once he got there, but I had to use my vacation time and explain to my employer why I hadn't asked for time off in advance but came in late to work. I wasn't happy. I wrote a note to the company and did get a nice reply explaining again what happened, but it didn't change the fact that they screwed up and caused me grief with my employer. I will give them another chance since they did apologize and did a good job, but I won't take a chance on them being on time the next time I schedule with them.
Description of Work: It was a small item, a broken splice in an outlet.

Everything went really well. We had been having some issues with an outlet in our home where if something wasn't plugged in correctly, a lot of our lights would go out (a whole wall of outlets and the electricity in our two bathrooms). I called the company in the morning of 9/12 and explained the issue and the owner said he would send someone out around noon that day and he would call before arriving. The electrician (Jason) called around 2pm and arrived shortly after. He was able to fix our major electrical outlet issue, along with a few other items that I asked him to look at. Overall, he ended up spending about 2 hours at the house and fixed a lot of things that were really bothersome to us. He was a huge help and was very professional. We are hoping to have a few other things done (a couple outlets installed in our garage) and Jason was going to let his boss know so we could get an estimate of the work. I was really impressed and am so happy that we have found an electrician we like and would trust using in the future!
Description of Work: Fixed an electrical outlet, removed hot tub wiring and installed a new light fixture.

I was in a panic while remodeling my bathroom while realizing at the last minute I needed an additional outlet for my shower. I had something scheduled with another company and they needed to move me to another day. I was at the airport at the time and the building inspector was coming in 3 hours. I hopped on Angie' List and started making calls to electrical companies to see if anyone was able to come immediately. Finally after many tries I came across Wellcraft. I explained my situation and they said they would help me. They had a crew a few miles away and they could pull one of the guys off and come and install my outlet. They not only did that but it was done before the inspector came and passed inspection. They did not charge me extra for the rush job. I will never forget that they went the extra mile and If I ever have electrical needs in the future this is the only company I will call.

Electrician came to my house to do an estimate. They charge $79/hour for this, which is fine. But we never heard from them again, despite my husband calling several times to follow up. We were intending to engage them based on the estimate. Last week, we got a bill in the mail for the estimate. I shouldn't have to pay for an estimate when I could never get anyone to schedule the actual service. Stay away; they'll give you (and charge you for) an estimate, but good luck getting them to follow through. ------------UPDATE: Regarding their response------------ Estimate vs. Troubleshooting. Whatever, it's linguistics. Yes, you provided troubleshooting and an estimate - at my rental property. BUT... We had also scheduled for you to come to our private home for an estimate for pulling electric behind our fireplace to the mantle for our TV. This was supposed to be directly after the rental property troubleshooting. But it was mis-scheduled, and the electrician came a day or 2 later. It was for that visit that we never even received an estimate - until AFTER you started sending bills for the original and quot;troubleshooting.and quot; Had we received the estimate for our private home, we would have scheduled the work to be done. Face it, Wellcraft. You dropped the ball on this one.
Description of Work: They performed an estimate, but I was no one ever called me back to perform the actual service.

Member, An electrician was asked to troubleshoot a circuit that the microwave was on. An electrician came to your home and told you that yes, you needed to get an additional circuit. The electrician had to troubleshoot the problem to find that it was not a wiring issue but a load issue. The customer was then sent a quote for the work. We have not received any call back from the customer concerning either of these isssues. Never has this company ever charged a customer for an estimate. The invoice that was sent was for a troubleshooting issue. Thank you for your comment.
