Small jobs welcome

"John did an outstanding job. I had him come in to paint a 20 foot-tall foyer and stairway, a difficult job for most, but he finished in just a few hours. He showed up on time, performed outstanding work and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. His price was VERY competitve, and he went above-and-beyond in every aspect of his work. I will definitely be calling John again for all my painting needs."

"Our painter Josh was very courteous, efficient and did excellent quality work. He repaired damaged ceilings and painted them and our stairwell walls too. We were very pleased with the work done. We are glad we had the work done and thought the price was very fair."

"Kyle had to go to the attic for installing our exhaust fans. He found out that it was not vented to the outside. Our home is 35 yrs old. so he talked to us and told us this which we thought was the problem with humidity in the bathrooms. so he asked if he should vent the exhaust fans outside. We said absolutely. He did a great job and no more issues in either bathroom. then he had some cedar siding that is warped and asked him to replace a few boards. so he stained them and replaced. The siding looks so so much better. We ordered more siding and waiting for it come in so we can have Kyle come out and replace more warped boards. Plus he fixed out falling mailbox do to plow hitting it. He did a great job."

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

Wallpaper in bathrooms can last anywhere from one to 10 years, depending on what type was used, how well it was installed, and the measures in place to reduce moisture and humidity levels. Opting for a more durable variety and taking all the necessary protective measures will get you closer to that longer lifespan.

The average cost to install or hang wallpaper is around $575 per room or project, with typical prices ranging from $200 to $1,500. Costs can be higher for custom or luxury products. Since project size varies, it's often helpful to estimate labor costs per square foot, which generally fall between $1 and $7, with an average of $4 per square foot. The total cost depends on several factors, including the quality and type of wallpaper, the size and type of the room, and whether old wallpaper must be removed first. Opting for less expensive materials like peel-and-stick wallpaper or choosing to do the installation yourself can lower the overall cost. For the most accurate estimate, it is best to have a professional inspect the space and provide a quote.

No, you don’t need to apply paint primer to your wall before hanging paintable wallpaper. Manufacturers design paintable wallpaper so that the paint will adhere effectively, so primer isn’t necessary. Plus, even if you opt for a light shade of paint, you won’t have to worry about the shade underneath showing through because you are painting on a light, white surface.

Yes, many types of peel-and-stick wallpaper can be used in bathrooms, especially those made of vinyl or polyester. However, its success depends heavily on the level of moisture and ventilation. In bathrooms with good ventilation, such as those with fans, it can be a durable option. Peel-and-stick wallpaper may not adhere as well as traditional wallpaper in very humid conditions. For bathrooms that see a lot of moisture, like a kids' bathroom or a full bath with a steamy shower and poor ventilation, even high-quality peel-and-stick wallpaper is likely to peel over time.

Your peel-and-stick wallpaper can fall off for multiple reasons, including high humidity levels, extreme temperature changes, poor installation, and even the wall surface. Textured walls can prevent the adhesive from fully sticking to the wall, making it more likely for the wallpaper to peel off. Low-quality wallpapers with weaker adhesives are also more likely to fall off prematurely.
