I checked out several, and when Tom came in, we clicked. He is all business when he needs to be, but he has a real sense of humor.
He's a perfectionist, and the work shows. He's also great about giving his honest opinion on additional ideas and updates we made as we went through the process, and I was grateful for his expertise. He shows up when he says he will, and left a clean workspace at the end of the day. If you call him, leave a message. Since he's the one doing all the work, he checks his messages after the work is done. He did respond to all of my calls and messages within a reasonable time frame as well. I'll definitely use him again for any additional projects, I already have him scheduled to replace some entry doors to my home. Great guy, and the kitchen looks fantastic.

Beware! These people will promise you the world and rip you off blind with poor customer service to boot. My husband and I researched numerous builders in our area. Then we found Terrace Homes. We took our three kids and drove out of our way and came to their quant little “village” of model homes and we were very impressed. Unfortunately, that’s where the warm/fuzzy feelings ceased. We had to wait several weeks just to get a quote from one of the daughters of the owner. This was even after we had drawings already made for them. All they had to do was price it out. Not too hard since most of that can comes from the same building they are working in.
Next, we found a model we were interested in and one of the daughters gave the price page plus a page of INCLUDED FEATURES. Beware: this is the place that they use to trick you and take your hard earned money. Just because Terrace Homes says it’s included, they may not include it or include it and over-charge you for it. Read the paperwork including all the fine print. They cheat, fudge and rework facts to get you to pay more money to them to help pay for their three million dollar vacation home in Sarasota Florida. For example, we had several improvements already done on our land which they originally said they would give us a credit for (this is also spelled-out specifically on their INCLUDED FEATURES sheet), but once the time came for a quote there was “credit” but they over charged us for the hook ups which significantly increased the base price of the home. By increasing the base price of the home, they were essentially almost double charging us for a these “included features” that, according to their INCLUDED FEATURES should be…included. This over charging that Terrace Homes operates from added up to a significant amount compared to the total price of the home.
Another thing to beware of is their “base price” of their models. This can fluctuate from client to client. It would be best to get their base model and then see if you make changes to that existing plan.
Also, beware of their “price guaranty”. This is a slick scam. You have to have an absolute apples-to-apples comparison. In other words, there’s a mile wide gap built-in for their advantage to deny you any price match you can find.
These people are slicksters and through an Enron type accounting system, they will steal you blind. If they ever call you back, and if you do do business with these rip-off artists, make sure you hire an attorney who is well versed in real estate law and pay extra for him/her to go through every single line, otherwise you’ll be taken advantage of and cheated. In addition, if you have time, you’ll need to shop around for any upgrades or extras (lighting, plumbing fixtures, etc.) that are not included. I’ve seen 100% – 200%+ increase in some of the upgraded items that can be added on such as lighting, trim, etc. which you can easily buy online or at one of the big box stores for a fraction of their price.
Now you know why they can build a vacation home for themselves worth over three million dollars ($3,000,000.00) in Sarasota Florida! Want to see it? Just do a simple Google search and you’ll find it.

His whole business is presenting plans that he found on the Wisconsin Assocation of Foundation Repair Proffessionals website which anyone can look up and print out themselves for free!
