"They came and did the job. It was delayed a little because of the weather. It was raining so much and then there was snow, so we had to wait until spring before he could come in and clean the gutters. I was charged some more than the $99 of the big deal. The quality of work was okay, he tried to sell me some gutter guards, but I don't want any gutter guards. He got all the gunk out of the gutters. He kept in communication with me. When we made an appointment, the weather was against us, so he kept communicating through Angie's List."

"See previous comment. Dale was friendly and seemed to be competent when he inspected my property on or about 4/15. He advised he would check grass week of 4/26 to determine if it needed cutting. Rather than commit to a specific number of cuttings, he suggested to cut as needed which seems very fair."

"This family company had done a great job cleaning the snow from our corner-yard duplex. You can call them in advance if you have to get out early for something. I think they will work very well for a retired couple like me and my husband."

Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

Natural ice melts can often get the job done without damaging concrete. You can try non-corrosive options such as kitty litter, alfalfa meal, coffee grounds, sugar beet juice, and heated snow-melting mats. While they may cause some staining, these natural melts are safe for concrete, pets, and the environment.

Yes, many providers offer emergency services during severe weather. Confirm availability with your contractor.

In most cases, it is best to leave icicles on your roof and allow them to melt naturally. You should only remove them if they are heavy enough to cause damage to your home or pose a safety risk to people below. Attempting to remove icicles yourself can be dangerous, so if you are concerned about immediate damage, it is recommended to hire a professional. To prevent icicles from recurring, you should address the underlying cause, which is often poor insulation. Long-term solutions include improving your home's insulation or installing roof heating coils.

Yes, many companies offer convenient options to accommodate service timing needs.

Leaving a significant amount of snow on your roof can be risky. Most roofs are designed to handle about 20 pounds per square foot of snow, but exceeding this limit can lead to a roof collapse. A collapse can cause severe damage to your home and belongings and poses a physical danger to anyone inside. Furthermore, heavy snow accumulation increases the risk of ice dams, which can cause leaks and water damage to your roof, attic, and interior walls.
