Born and raised in Fort Atkinson, I absolutely love everything that Jefferson County has to offer and I know the area well. This knowledge allows me to assist my clients in locating and selecting properties that meet their specific wants and needs. My care for this community runs deep and I enjoy showing people why they should make it their home too. I have been selling real estate since 2010.

A1 movers of janesville has 3 employees and is growing. 2 full time & 1 part time employee. we accept cash, check or credit card. our service area includes, janesvillle, monroe, edgerton, stoughton, milton, new glarus, evansville, monticello, broadhead, lake geneva, beloit, rockford area. we do not subcontract jobs out.

"They are nothing but trouble...why take the risk when there are reputable companies! We contracted with A1 Movers in June of '18 for them to pick up our belongings, store them at their facility for two weeks and deliver them to our new home. In addition to the cost of the move, we paid an additional $75 for $5,000 of insurance to cover any damage that may result at the hands of A1 Movers. We were initially quoted one price and then after the belongings were picked up they informed us the initial quote was only for the initial move...after refusing to pay additional, we agreed upon the a price near the original quote. I wish I could say that the problems ended there. Upon delivering our belongings, we noticed damage to both of our leather couches. We contacted Jason at A1 and informed him of the damage and he initially stated he would stand behind his company and cover the costs of the damage. Over the course of two months, we emailed back and forth with each response from A1 proving that they were less and less willing to stand behind their contract and insurance policy. Needless to say, they eventually stopped responding and refused to pay the repair costs and also refused to provide any information regarding the insurance carrier they used in selling me the supplemental policy; this prevented me from making a claim myself. The response I received from A1 was that the damage would work itself out over time based on their having never seen the damage; instead they talked to an upholstery shop who provided this guidance without inspecting the damage. I provided a quote for repair of $200 for both pieces of furniture - still, the opted to be unethical and stop communication. I am happy to share the full email transcript of my communication back and forth with Jason as proof of their business practices. I filed a complaint with the BBB and A1 Movers opted to ignore it and not respond or defend their actions. As I stated before, do yourself a favor and hire someone else! If they refuse to stand behind a simple $200 damage claim after I purchased insurance, they definitely won't stand behind a more expensive damage claim to your property of belongings."

In today's market, there is simply no substitute for a good Realtor. With that said I know my training and education didn't stop the day I passed my licensing exam. Today's real estate market is ever changing from market conditions to technology. It seems as if every day there's a new website out there claiming to be the latest and greatest either in selling a home or finding one to purchase. I stay on top of these changes by attending training seminars, researching new methods in selling, and listening to my clients want.

Real Estate Agents questions, answered by experts

Yes, a pot filler can add value to a home by attracting buyers with its combination of prestige and usefulness. When building or renovating a kitchen, pot filler installation costs can add value without significantly increasing your overall budget. However, it's important to consider the overall design and layout of your kitchen before deciding to install a pot filler. Unlike other parts of the stove, a pot filler may not be used every day. Pot fillers are most appreciated in larger kitchens with a large distance between the sink and stove. In a smaller kitchen with a sink located close to the stove, a pot filler may seem like an unnecessary feature to some potential buyers.

Craftsman-style homes are predominantly found in the Western United States, specifically in Southern California, where the style originated. Since the climate was mild and there was access to plenty of natural resources, Southern California became a hub for this style at its inception. That being said, if you consult with an architect near you, you can have a Craftsman-style home anywhere.

Yes, an elevated deck can increase a home's resale value. Homeowners can expect a 65% return on investment from the cost of a second-story deck installation. For example, if you spend $5,000 to install a second-story deck, that deck will add $3,250 to the value of your home.

Wainscoting isn’t a design element that can be directly tied to an increased house price. Despite that, it is a highly marketable element that can generate significant interest from potential buyers who enjoy the style, and is relatively inexpensive to remove for those who don’t. If you are on the fence about paneling, just know that it certainly wouldn’t result in depreciation of your home’s value—usually the opposite.

Provides additional space and enhances property appeal, potentially increasing resale value.
