He is very prompt at responding to request. The work was done too high standards. He charges $100 an hour, which is quite a lot, but it is quality service and he backs it up. If you want piece of mind I recommend him.

Overall, the job was done quickly and professionally. I'd be happy to have Kent and Northwest Sound Electric provide electrical work on my house!

They charge $100 plus a $50 travel fee. This makes it a total $150 plus tax.

Kent was great. He came out on a Sunday as he knew I was having company over and the lights in the powder room didn't work. He was responsive (returning my original call within 2 hours); customer focused (came out on a Sunday morning due to company coming); punctual (he said he would be at my house by 11am and rang the bell at 10:58, and very easy to understand as to what he had to do to fix the fixture. I would use him again in a heartbeat. In fact, I am recommending him to our homeowners association.

For each day of work Kent arrived right on time which I found impressive and amazing considering my previous experiences with other handymen/contractors. Kent gave us an estimate (which was free) before the work began and the cost reflected his accurate ideas about how much it was going to be. Kent is professional and curteous and I cannot recommend him strongly enough. We are new homeowners and we made the cardinal mistake of hiring someone to fix many things in our "sold-as-is" home based on "affordability". Please don't be duped as we were. This guy made a mess of our electrical panel and did it illegally--never pulling a permit for the work. We ended up paying for the bad work and the work to fix it! I don't know much about electrical work but even I could see the difference between Kent's work and his. The unnamed contractor's work looked like a 5th grade shop project whereas Kent's looked like, well...a Master Electrician had done it. Needless to say his work passed with ease when the county came to inspect it. We also had to pull all of the old base board heaters out and decided to replace them with ConvectAir heaters. Kent also did this work and we are very happy with the outcome. Our home is toasty warm and they look really great. Kent is now our electrical guy for all matters. With small children I don't want to wonder if someone has botched the wiring in my house and now I don't have to.

He came out and gave us a free bid. He gave my husband some advice about some other work we were looking at getting done. He was prompt. He was very knowledgeable about all of the electrical and all of the codes. While he was doing the work on the circuit breaker box he found some other small things that needed to be done to bring everything up to code. If I have any other electrical work that needs to be done he is at the top of my list. He gave us the best bid and probably did the best work. He was very efficient. My husband had a fix it business and he said that the electrical companies work was top notch. We will certainly recommend him in the future.

Mr. Thompson should note that he charges for estimates. I eliminated him up front, as I think he should note that in his service information.

Great! I have used Northwest sound Electric multiple times over the last 2 or 3 years for all of my electrical upgrades and changes. Each time Kent has provided excellent customer service. He goes out of his way to be sure he answers all of my questions and provides options/suggestions if I ask. Kent is the only electrian I use. I have recommended him to family members and they have all had very positive experiences as well. This appointment was straightforward; one of my X-10 switches (in the Family Room) needed to be replaced. Kent arrived just when he said he would and completed the work even faster than he had estimated when we set up the appointment.

He arrived quickly, went right to work looking at components and wire routing. After determining the extent of the circuit went systematically through it until the short was found. The actual fix was unplugging a less-than-kosher outdoor extension. He recommended and installed a GFI in an under-house box that looked like trouble waiting to happen.

This job took longer than anticipated. I wouldn't hire him again. It was $100 an hour.

I called them and they came immediately. It was something they could deal apparently and they were thorough. They are very expensive though. He was very nice and helpful. I told him that I would need some work done about connecting my big screen TV. However he explained to me that I can do it myself for nothing. It was very kind of him. He was very personable and pleasant.

Kent was extremely responsive, punctual and professional. He helped us troubleshoot a number of "problems" in our home at no charge. The work that he did do was thorough and he was clearly extremely competent.

Kent, the electrician, responded to an emergency power outage caused by a tree taking out our power lines, head and mast. This was during a massive wind storm that wiped out power through out the region. We were very pleased by the response, prompt and professional when electricians were in short supply.

Kent is a gem. Not only was he super prompt in responding and coming out to fix our problems (even at night!), he has also been a great resource for me whenever I'm unsure whether I need his help or not. When we were having electrical problems related to our hot water heater, Kent fielded a bunch of my calls to help me troubleshoot as well as make sure the hot water heater guy was not taking me for a ride or making matters worse. Kent is very conscientious, speedy and trustworthy. He also clearly explains his process in locating and fixing whatever is causing the problem, which is great for someone like me who generally has no clue. I'm so glad I found Kent through Angie's List. He's a keeper!!!

Kent came out within a day of my call with all necessary supplies. He laid down a lot of plastic to protect the rug and catch all debris from his work. Wire position had to be changed in the electrical service box to power the electrical box in the closet. (He found a loose wire in an unrelated circuit breaker.) Then a pair of wires was run through conduit to a new service box he mounted near the water heater (which required electrical control). Cleanup was quick and complete.

Excellent work! This is the second time I have used Northwest Sound Electric and will definitely use the company again. Kent is a single person shop and provides outstanding quality service. His rates are reasonable and if the fixture (like a wall plug or a celling fan/light) are working, he tells you it does not need to be replaced. Very prompt and explains his billing rates before he starts the work so it is very clear what the job will cost.

Kent was easy to work with, very patient about explaining the work, the options and the code requirements. I plan to use him when I remodel the kitchen. He clearly cares about doing a quality job.

Kent is a very meticulous electrician, something you appreciate when you own a house with aluminum wiring. He is also willing to explain what he's doing and why and ended up teaching me a lot. He even added insulation in the attic over the ceiling lights. We have had Kent work on the house in the past, also our daughter's house and I would recommend him to anyone.

KENT WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND INFORMATIVE. HE THOROUGHLY INVESTIGATED THE PROBLEM AND EXPLAINED WHAT HE WAS DOING. HE HAD A GREAT DEAL OF EXPERTISE AND ANSWERED ALL OF OUR QUESTIONS. HE FOUND A PROBLEM, WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE A SIMPLE FIX FOR HIM, SO HE DIDN'T TRY TO SELL US SOMETHING WE DIDN'T NEED. WE APPRECIATED THE TIME HE TOOK AND WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE NEEDING ELECTRICAL WORK.
