As expected, WONDERFUL as experienced with past jobs. Would NEVER consider using another company! Jean-Luc came out this past summer and I told him what I wanted done. He gave me a thorough explanation of what would be best and even told me the name of a tree I had no idea what it was. Now I know my large tree is an Empress, so I can tell people that often ask. At that time he told me it would be best to do the work when the trees/plants were dormant, so the work was done today and as usual the crew were here right on time. In the summer I expressed interest in trimming certain trees, instead of doing it and getting more $$$, he explained that it would not be a good idea to prune that type of tree, it would result in further problems. Jean-Luc is a VERY professional, honest and knowledgeable arborist! GREAT COMPANY!

I played phone tag with the owner and they eventually never called me back. One of their messages advised against trimming the trees we wanted to (especially the asian pear) this early in the year. While I appreciated their professional advice, the asian pear no longer fruits because it's at least 60+ years old and was of no concern to us which I relayed in a later voicemail. I'm a little irritated that I never heard back from these folks, not even to schedule a visit to provide a quote. they must be too busy for new clients.

Jean-Luc and his team were punctual and got to work right away. He verified the amount of height to be removed off the cypress and laurels before beginning and confirmed right after they topped the first trees in the back yard to be sure I was happy with the chosen height. They removed and chipped as they worked. They cleared and swept away all debris that fell into the neighbors' yards and around my yard. He also reviewed the completed work with me prior to leaving to be sure that I was totally satisfied.

He was prompt, professional and did a wonderful job. Very careful and detailed.

I bought a Big Deal coupon. The service was fine. Everything was satisfactory. The replacement was not quite what we had understood.

Very knowledgeable and passionate about trees. Articulate and easy to communicate with. Very detailed quoted. Quick response to questions. Able to scale to a smaller job than initial inquiry. Our yard is bordered by many crowded, smaller trees (some with branches touching the ground and growing in to each other) and large bushes that make mowing difficult and would provide concealment for anyone trying to force a door or window. We needed help determining how best to thin the foliage as well as do the actual work. Vitalitree was able to meet our needs quickly, neatly and at a reasonable price and we plan to ask them to assist in the removal of a few, larger, dying trees.

Jean-Luc Bengle, the Owner, came to my home. I showed him the trees we needed to have evaluated. He checked them out, including taking a small core from the plum tree that ended up being largely rotten. Jean-Luc explained what he saw as we walked around my home. He then prepared a cost estimate and reviewed this with me. Today, Jean-Luc and two of his staff came to my home and performed the work. The trees he trimmed look great. They're no longer on top of my house, my neighbor's driveway... They did an excellent job with the tree that needed to be removed. Jean-Luc also took time to explain to me what some of my options are for replacing the plum tree he removed, including planting and inital maintenance instructions. They did an excellent job cleaning up. A few of my neighbors brought lawn chairs out to watch Jean-Luc and his guys work. I was very impressed with Jean-Luc's knowledge, as well as his and his team's professionalism.

An efficient small outfit. Drew came to give an estimate to remove a white pine, approximately 40ft tall; provided additional info on other trees. A very reasonable estimate came ( with prompting) in a few days. Asked him to do the work, he gave a date within a few days; came right on time, with a partner. In about half an hour the tree was gone; all chipped, no traces left, no scars in the lawn, no broken windows. Very clean and fast operation; we were very impressed. Definitely recommendable operators.

It had been a few years since I had my holly and fir trees trimmed, and both of them were growing onto neighbors roofs. Also, my beloved plum tree bit the dust (literally) a couple of years ago, leaving lots of sprouts which were starting to approach tree size in a very small space. Jean-Luc showed up right on time for the estimate appointment. Estimate was $350+tax, which is about what I paid a few years ago for the same work with someone else. He got such great reviews in a number of different forums that I didn't bother with any other estimates. He showed up to do the work exactly when promised. He and a helper worked quickly and efficiently,did exactly as we had discussed, and cleaned up everything afterwards. Will definitely hire him again.

This is the 3rd time we have used this company and as with previous jobs, the entire experience far exceeded our expectations!!!! Jean-Luc responded to my initial inquiry via email in just hours on a Saturday and after that, came out in a few hours to give an estimate.There had been a tree company that was driving through the neighborhood looking for work and gave an estimate. Jean-Luc gave an estimate that was higher, but when he was told this, even though we knew that was most likely a bait-and- switch bid, he went down and gave us a bid just $20.00 higher. Since we have had such GREAT experiences in the past, the decision was a no brainer!! Drew and Billy came out today and took the tree down quickly and left the job site in better condition then when they arrived. SPOTLESS!!! Also, as with other jobs, they did extra for us then what was included initially in the bid. There was a tree shaded by the big one, that half of was dead. They took off the dead branches and now that tree can thrive. VITALITREE IS THE BEST!! THANK YOU!!!

The owner came out to look at our tree and give us a quote. It was clear he was interested in overall health of the tree and making sure no unnecessary cutting would occur. The day he came out to do the cutting, he brought a helper who chopped up cut limbs and also ensured pedestrians were safe in walking by the project. I was surprised to see Jean-Luc climb into the tree, anchor a rope to a higher branch, and then hang there as he moved from branch to branch doing his work (i.e. no ladder). Overall, I thought he did a good job although the price tag seemed a bit steep for the amount of work he did. As stated though, he seemed concerned about the well being of the tree before and after the cutting and also answer random questions my wife had about the rest of the yard, so I was pleased.

Inspected site and prepared proposal / estimate. Came on time and performed work with one assistant. Completed on time and as proposed / estimated. Even did some efforts that were not in the original estimate. Gave professional advice about another tree that was leaking sap. Disposed of wood (separately) that contained termite infestation (queen).

Bought a "Big Deal" to get a tree and have Vitalitree plant it for us on our property. We selected a Willow because we are close to water. I appreciated the time he took to select the best spot and even "teach" my kids about planting trees. Initially it looked like the tree wouldn't make it because, well, we planted a tree in July and had it keep it really wet. We did our best, but it still looked dire. We made a few phone calls to Vatalitree and they were helpful over the phone. Just when we thought it wouldn't make it, come spring, it sprang to life!

Perfect. Vitalitree was on time, no hassles and did a wonderful job planting the tree. He took the time to be sure everything was done perfectly.

Shrubs in front were trimmed exactly to our specifications. Our large, very overgrown butterfly bush was also taken down as per discussed. Most impressive to my fiancé was the excellent job of debris clearing post trimming. There wasn't a leaf or pruned piece in sight at any area worked on in the yard.

Overall experience was excellent.* Estimate was done promptly and was clear in terms of work to be done and cost. * We were worked into the schedule quickly.* On scheduled day, Jean-Luc showed up on time with one other crew member and completed all work requested in about 5 hours.

I had a tree removed at a house a used to live at and was so very pleased with Vitalitree, I called again. Once again they went above my expectations!!! Drew came out to look at the job and gave a bid. The bid was far better than others I had received. So, since I knew their work, I agreed. Drew was very kind and professional and set-up a date to complete the job. They arrived as scheduled, I was not home when they started, but came home while in process. They left the trees cut into fire wood pieces and cleaned up completely. I noticed that a tree was removed that was not part of the bid, but next to one. I contacted Drew about it and he told me it was dying so they removed it and no additional charge. WOW!! Now that is exceptional customer service. I have many trees on my lot and will only call Vitalitree in the future and refer them to everyone I know!

Jean-Luc did really nice job for me. I bought his service through a special Angie's List deal for tree pick-up and installation. He not only did that, he came to my place to help me decide on a tree, priced out the trees and gave me some options, removed and disposed of the tree that was there, and pruned the surrounding trees. Very nice and professional guy. I would use him again.

Arborist + 1 arrived as scheduled. Arborist examined the tree to be planted, reviewed the location, and i explained the drainage problems in the area. Then we walked around the property to examine the other 3 existing trees and their condition and he offered guidance for preventive care on one of the trees for which we had concerns. The arborist and assistant then planted the tree and they were completed within 15-30 minutes. I reviewed their work and they were off to their next task. They were on my property for 45 minutes or less and provided excellent work, they were professional, and they were prompt. I would certainly use them again and recommend them to friends and relatives. In general this was a superior experience.

I recently had four old trees removed from my yard, and I wanted to replace them with specific varieties. Jean-Luc responded promptly when I called him to come take a look at my yard and give me an estimate. He concurred with my choice of trees, and we set up a planting appointment. When planting day came, he even called me from the nursery to make sure that the larger trees I had selected weren't too expensive for me. He arrived when expected, and took great care to make sure the new trees were well situated in compost and bermed. They watered them in twice, then cleaned up. He also instructed me on the watering care for the trees for the first year or so until the roots are established. Jean-Luc was very professional, but also very obviously loves what he does. I now have four healthy, beautiful new trees, at a very reasonable cost. I would highly recommend the services of Vitalitree and Jean-Luc.

Excellent tree service. Good prices. They leave job site clean when finished. Would use again. My young children had a ball watching them work all day and Vitalitree tolerated them very well. I really enjoyed learning about trees and how they grow from Jean Luc. His love for his profession shows through, he was a pleasure to deal work with.
