The installation was complete, the area is cleaned up. It looks fantastic - I has not rained yet - so I will soon find out. But I do not expect any issues. I was very happy with the process, the attention to detail and the multiple on site inspections by the general manager in charge of the installation crew. Plus the final walk through and sign off with the GM of Installation which is scheduled with me on my schedule.

The pricing was very competitive. They had a good work ethic and did a fine job.

We got three separate bids for a new roof, and this company's bid was the lowest. I called later to find out the material that they would be using, and they took a lot of time explaining what they would use and why. They were booked for a couple months, but came and put a tarp on the roof to prevent leaks. The wind blew it off, and they immediately returned and put the tarp back on. They arrived on the day they had told us they would, and did a terrific job. They cleaned up very well, and spend some time walking us around the house afterwards and explaining the job. We were very pleased with our new roof and would definitely use this company again.

I was pleased and would have recommended them, until 2 weeks later when I went into my attic. It is completely covered in roofing debris (roofing, nails, dirt, moss, leaves). In places, it's an inch deep. When I called, I was told in a very snide tone that my contract stated there may be light debris in attic. I'd signed this 3 months prior. I said it would have been nice during the final walk through if they had reminded me, so that I could clean it. Rudely, I was told to deal with it. I'm less angry about the debris, than I am about their attitude toward a customer.

I had them come do an estimate on a job about a month ahead of time. We agreed on a date. Then the day of, they did not show up. I called them to figure out what was going on and the person on the phone told me that due to bad weather some other jobs had taken longer and that they would not be able to come. Without notice... I called again trying to get them to come and one of the general managers called me back. He behaved extremely disrespectful on the phone and said that they never promised they would come that weekend. He said it was going to be one of two weekends, the day I was calling or the following weekend... That made no sense to me, who schedules a job and doesn't put a specific day down. We knew what date we agreed on, but they didn't capture it. I thought the professionalism of the general manager was terrible. I decided to end the conversation at that point. I wouldn't want someone like this to do something in my house. I would not trust it.

They started within two days of the original start date. Great communication with the office. They did a great job with the roof, done within two days. Everything was cleaned up completely no messes. Highly recommended, you can't go wrong with them. During the bidding process Chris was knowledgeable and straightforward, did not try to upsell at all. I can't say enough about these guys very happy with the job, many thousands of dollars cheaper than their competition

Their estimate and proposed work was competitive and they were punctual and professional. I decided to go with a lower bid given by a company that had come out earlier in an emergency to fix a leak in the roof.

We were referred to this company by our next door neighbor who had his roof done last year. The estimator, Chris, was punctual and gave us the best price. We had taken about 4-5 estimates through other companies. The good part was he didn't try to upsell anything and clearly explained what the upgrade costs for any changes we would like. We chose CertainTeed Landmark Pro in Moire Black as it seemed to have a better life (40yrs) as opposed to the most basic Landmark version. His prices on all the various CertainTeed products were very reasonable. They also said our skylights were in great shape and didn't require to be replaced or any extra charges to have them put back after the roof job. The company gave us a 4 star warranty instead of the 5 star warranty other companies provided which meant that A Better Roofing owned the roof life warranty and would come for any issue calls in the future. Their crew were also had a spot available for work 2 weeks out which worked out perfectly for us. The crew arrived on time but had to wait out an hr for the rains to stop before they could begin work. They took one day to remove the old roof out. We did remind the crew to make sure they put tarp all around the house to avoid debris falling on our plants before they started which they complied with. They were extremely clean and at the end of the day went all around the house with a giant magnet that helped pick up any fallen nails. At the end of the day I went over all the points on the estimate that was agreed on for the new roof to make sure they didn't forget any aspects that were special to our roof. They also lined the bare wood roof with 15 lb felt paper. The estimator had mentioned that the more expensive synthetic papers used by others may not be worth paying the premium for as they also have Class A lawsuits against them due to the short life they have been in the market. I did enough research to be happy with the choice we made. We did however get extra ice and water shield lining done in water damage prone areas and around all valleys, around vents, chimney wherever metal flashing had been put down. These are weak areas usually more prone to leaking if there's one. We felt the added cost would give us peace of mind. We also went with the new ridge vents to improve the venting system of the house and the life of the roof. On day 2 they replaced 7 of our OSB boards with some really good CDX Plywood. The original estimate only called for 3-4 board replacement but he had told us that once the roof was removed it was possible to determine which ones may have water damage. The new roof was done by end of day 2 and looked fantastic. I did notice when the skylights were put back there seemed to be a small gap. I took pictures and showed those to the guy in charge who sent couple of people to fix that and press it down. He assured me that they use an adhesive strip to seal the space around the skylight and it would not leak. However there usually is some minor paint cracks at the entrance that may need touch up. We were happy with the end result and how meticulous they were to address all our concerns. Michael the general Manager setup an appointment with us a week later to do a walk through and answer all our questions. He also gave us some great inputs on other home improvement projects around the house we had been thinking of. He has 16 yrs exp with Better roofing company alone and was extremely knowledgeable. He also told us that in the northwest region its important for us to have good insulation in the winter months and that's why a black roof was the best color choice we could make. We also avoided some expensive carpentry work as suggested by other companies just by trusting the knowledge Michael had on roofing and got better quality plywood laid right to address the issue instead. He addressed all our questions and concerns very professionally. The company never tried to upsell anything and did the work we asked of them and gave us a great price for it. If there is anything negligent found in the work this company is willing to go out of the way to get it fixed to make sure you are completely satisfied with the work.

The estimator was excellent, explaining in detail what we needed and did not need. Price was lowest bid. The day of roofing the roofers showed up, reroofed both house and shed. Cleaned up well, couldnt find one piece of old roofing or materials left anywhere. They were finished in less then a day. Great job by the whole team. Would recommend highly

We received multiple bids for the replacement of our roof. I was most impressed with this company, especially the person that gave us the estimate. He was very down to earth and didn't try to sell us lots of bells and whistles we didn't need. The warned us about possible extra expenses, but ended up right on budget. They were prompt, took exactly the amount of time they said they would, and left the area clean. I would definitely use them again.

Exceptional staff. Very professional and no presuree to make a decision on the spot. Gave us a written quote and answered all of our questions. Plus educated us about roofing options. Provided a listing of hundereds of clients in our area. Once we decited to go with A Better Roofing Co they did not require any money up front. While the work was occuring the staff was courteous, friendly,and took time to answer any questions I had. They did exactly what they said the would. Cleaned up all the old roofing and other materials. Manager came by a couple of days later to see if we were satisfied with their work. We were very happy and paid them for the work

They tore off all the old shingles, replaced some boards, and put on new shingles. They did a great job.

I called a number of places over the year and decided to go with A Better Roofing Company for three reasons: 1) Work they've done in other areas of my neighborhood 2) Most professional, detailed, and patience service/estimates I received 3) Rich history and references in my area They were great about keeping me informed of progress or delays and were very responsive to one minor issue that was resolved within 48 hours. Overall, I would recommend them to others and use them again for any future roofing needs.

North Creek Roofing completed the work for us.

They did a terrific job which is holding up well. I had the work done on short notice, during the rainy season. The crew worked like maniacs, and did an excellent job of working around the weather. The yard was clean at the end of each day. They were also very accommodating to some special roof penetrations I wanted, to use for ham radio.

On a positive note, Michael (manager) is outstanding. I wish he was my contact person during the entire ordeal because he is knowledgable and professional. The youngster who bidded the job (Ryan?) was pleasant but overworked. It took him forever to respond to my inquiries and when I called the office they didn't have an efficient answering system or office staff/secretary. The job did start on time but it failed inspection by the city. After Michael met with inspector and corrections were made, it passed inspection. Next time I would use Jorve and that is the firm I recommend. They are more thorough and more expensive, but worth it. I have Jorve in the past and wish I used them on this job, especially since Jorve finances projects at a reasonable interest rate.

The service was excellent in all specs. They came in and have a quoted price and their price is competitive. The weather delayed things a bit but I was overall satisfied with the service. Maybe they weren't prefect in anticipating the weather but they did a good service. They were here when they said they would. I would recommend them to anyone. They did screw up delivering something to a wrong address and that mess me up a week. That was the glitch that delayed things.

Every contact with the company was professional - from the quote, to the work, to follow-up with the bill delivered in person several days after completion. I was particularly impressed with the cleanup of the yard. They used plastic sheeting in the yard and covered the basement window wells with plywood. These procedures helped contain the debris. After the job was completed I only found three roofing nails and a handful of scraps in the yard. There were some nails left in the gutters. When this was brought to the attention of A Better Roofing Company they promptly sent someone to clean the gutters.

I chose A Better Roofing Company due to the sales representative's presentation. They ALL say they're the best, and they almost all cast aspersions on their competitors. But not all are as genuine as Ed was. He didn't have to downgrade the others, his integrity and belief in his company's integrity swayed me, despite the higher cost of the proposal. The crew arrived on time and went about their business quietly and efficiently while conducting themselves professionally and courteously. They blew through the job in two days instead of the three I was advised it might take, cleaned up the surrounding property, and picked up the leftover materials the following day. The following week, the field manager made an appointment to do a walk through and collect the payment. While nothing can eliminate the pain of depleting one's savings by almost $16K, their overall performance at minimum reduced the anxiety and made an uncomfortable situation at least tolerable.

Requested estimate for roof replacement. Submitted internet request form and followed up with call but never they never responded.

Alan arrived at my house on time, and spent a good long time talking to me about our roof. He was our first estimate, so I had a lot of questions, and he was very helpful explaining things to me. Like all but one of the sales people, he did not go up on the roof. The roof has somewhat risky access, and they use an internet service to get accurate sizing of the roof for the estimate. He was able to provide the estimate at the time of the visit, taking 10-20 minutes to work it up. Their estimate was a little on the high side, and they felt we didn't have enough ridge for a ridge vent. They were the only ones that estimated can venting instead of ridge venting. That, combined with their slightly high price made us decide to use another company. However, they were very reasonable and professional, and I would have no problem using them. When you get 4 estimates from good companies, 3 good companies have to lose.

My experience with them was positive in all aspects. I was able to communicate with them. They were very responsive and very straightforward. In my mind, they seem to be very honest and straightforward. I was able to get answers, and I was able to talk about things. I didn't feel like they were trying to push more from me. I like their answers, so I went with them.

Crew of 2-3 arrived by 8am and left by 2pm during two days of work. They removed existing single layer asphalt roof and installed new asphalt roof and flashing. The crew was courteous and hard-working. The job manager met with us within a week of work completion to review the work and receive payment. Everyone we encountered with the company, from sales to office staff to job manager and crew were friendly and professional. It all went smoothly, and the weather even cooperated!
