I did not use Sleep Country in Everett. This review was started in error

After reading the ratings of the major brands we decided to visit the Sleep Country USA store in Tacoma and test out the various types of Temperpedic mattresses. Our salesperson listened to our needs and had us lay down on several models. After deciding on the one that was just right including pillows we made our choice. The experience was pleasant, everything was explained and the new bed was delivered, set up and the old mattress and foundation taken away. My wife says it is the best bed she has ever slept on and really likes the fact that the mattress helps retain body warmth making for a good night's sleep. I can sleep now on a not too firm or soft surface and rarely wake up. Temperpedic beds are an investment. Divide the cost by 20 to 25 years and it works out to a good value for the money. Find your local Sleep Country USA store, test out various bed designs and enjoy the best night's sleep you have had in years.

The service is very good. Very profession was a great over all experience.

We enjoyed being able to try out various mattresses, but the attendant did not freely and completely answer questions about the products and prices. Mattress Company has little,in some cases none. information about prices and selection on-line. I was also aware of the Better Business Bureau's low rating of Mattress Company. The people were friendly, but not forth-coming.

The manager said when the ydelivered it the man would move my sectional couch to get the bed in. I had been injured so I couldn't move the couch. The man was refusing to move the couch even though I had in writing from the manager that he would be able to move it. When I went to call the manger the delivery guy put his hand on his hip and made a dirty face. I had been speaking with the manager through email and found there is a big difference between what you are promised and what you get.They have all kinds of advertisements but did not tell me that they offers could not be combined. I drove all the way down to South Center and found out that the discount was for the cheapest mattress they had in the store. Their advertising is very misleading. I asked for a published list of their prices and they said they did not have one. I asked them if I was just supposed to pay whatever they wanted me to pay on the spot. I found it very disturbing that they did not have a price list. Basically they had carte blanche to just charge whatever they wanted. If I had not negotiated in writing through email with the managers, who knows what they would have charged me. They have different names for different mattresses but the customer has no way of verifying that what you select in the showroom is what you are getting. You have to be really assertive and get things in writing with them because I found them to be slippery businessmen. It was like pulling teeth to get this information in writing. They were not very responsive, sometimes I would have to wait up to a week to hear back from them. I told them that the mattress I got was too hard and I did not like it. They had told me I could swap at the mattress and get a different one at no charge for a similar mattress. They then told me that I would have to pay more money for another mattress in that same class. They treat you like a queen before the sale, but after they get their money it is hard to get a response and their customer service goes way down. They did have a good price on the frame but other than this was not a good experience.

The staff was pleasant and friendly however, the mattress itself did not live up to the guarantee.

After locating the mattress of my dreams, I was disheartened when after just one week, the boxspring began putting out an audible click each time I moved. My salesperson arranged for a new boxspring, and the delivery truck showed up a few days later. One worker protested when I requested he use shoe covers, "I don't believe in them," he said (before reluctantly putting them on). When the drivers left, I discovered not only was the new boxspring covered with black finger marks, but the mattress was too. I called the store. With the next delivery, the drivers arrived with shoe covers in hand. The soiled mattress set was removed, but prior to bringing the new set in, one of the workers reported the new boxspring was damaged. The old set was unloaded from the truck until arrangements for a new boxspring could be arranged (two days later). Great. Now, my brand new alder wood bed frame (2 days old) has a deep gouge in it thanks to Sleep Country's red carpet delivery.
