Description of Work: Ceiling collapsed in two bedrooms during a heavy rain. Roof that Gregg Roofing put on had catastrophic failure. Warranty was 11 months past the 10 year limit. Nails not covered by shingles (there were many) had a caulking of some sort over them. Caulking failed and allowed rain in. Roof leaked very badly. GM came to check roof and said it was leaking because of all the "rusty nails". He recaulked the nails, but still leaking. GM tried to blame everything but the poor workmanship. He said he then thought it might be the shingles failing and wanted in attic during a rainy day to see where leak was coming from. (Already had leak specialist state it was poor workmanship and the exposed nails). I tried every rainy day to get him back to my house with no success. First, he was out of town. Then he would not answer my call or return the many, many messages I left. I finally realized the GM wanted nothing to do with his roof that was installed improperly. How do I know it was improperly installed? I know nothing of roofs, but my home owners insurance did...and they would not cover the damage due to "poor workmanship and installation". I also still could not get Gregg Roofing back to the house. I then called three other companies to give me bids. No one would take on a repair because they wanted no part of someone else's poor work...understandable. Still no response from Gregg Roofing. I would have thought most companies would have wanted to make a past customer happy and worked with them, but not Gregg Roofing. I highly recommend that you look elsewhere if your need is a roof...I have zero faith in Gregg Roofings workmanship and customer service. So after Gregg Roofing put on a new roof 11 years earlier...after 2 bedroom ceilings collapsed...after roof that leaked horribly in many, many places...after home owners insurance denied the claim...after many, many unanswered messages, I dipped into my 401k and bought another roof from another company. This new roof already has stood up to snow, ice, heavy rain and wind. Funny thing, when I checked out the new roof after it was installed, I saw no exposed nails...Gregg Roofing wanted me to believe that I should see nails...I would never do business with Gregg Roofing.

Description of Work: We recently had a leaky roof and the problem was thought to be the ridge cap. We checked out several contractors on Angie's List and most responded that they do not do repairs. Then I contacted Gregg Roofing and within a short while Kevin (owner) came to check out the cap on our very high, nasty, metal roof. He was very thorough and it was determined that the combination of wind, ice and snow created a "fluke" event. He checked out the rest of the roof and gave us a clean bill of health...all this on one day before Christmas eve. What a gift! We know who we would hire if/when we need it

Description of Work: Demoed 3 layers of roofing and all old flashing. Installed new flashing, strain board, 30 year shingles, ridge vent. Started on time and finished on time. Debris was cleaned daily and house/shrubbery well protected. Excellent job and very professional. I highly recommend.

Description of Work: We had a tree branch hit the roof and shatter just one of the concrete tiles that cover our roof. At a time when most roofing companies are concentrating on full roof replacements, Gregg Roofing was the only one willing to come out quickly and take care of this minor repair. |There was a minimum charge so while the roofer was at our residence he checked the entire roof for any additional repairs he could find. Overall I feel we got our money's worth.

Description of Work: Kevin (mgr) came out for free estimate; showed me photos of areas on roof requiring repair from heavy storm. Estimate was discussed and crew (David and Austin) arrived on schedule two days later. Matched and replaced four sections of shingles that had been blown off or damaged, sealed numerous lifted nails, installed new rubber pipe seals on all roof vents, completely cleaned roof and all gutters. All work performed expertly and professionally. From initial conversation with the owner, Susan, through inspection and estimate process with Kevin, to the completion of the work, everything was excellent. I am most pleased to now have a roofing company I can trust for any and all future needs. I highly recommend this quality company.

Description of Work: Very high priced and I did not like how when they came out they did not even knock on the door and they just left the bid on the door. Not very friendly when I called back.
