"My solar panel system had electrical problems and the original installer has gone out of business. Solar Panels were not listed specifically about so I chose something close. The Allset technician worked with the manufacturer, and made the repairs. Everything is working well now."

"The company was very professional, and Stan was great. He really listened to our problem, and explained how to "fix" things , giving us several options. The work was done in a very timely manner and the area was left clean. After the installation Stan explained all we needed to know about maintenance and upkeep. We highly recommend Total Comfort Solutions !!!!"

"I had a different company come out to look at my A/C, they told me the inside fan was gone and the outside unit was going. So I had quite a few companys give me estimates. HawsCo. was the only company that told me the unit was ok just needed repaired. I value Honesty over most anything else. And if I need repairs or replacement in the future they will be the first one I call."

"Honest Air was amazing. We needed a new HVAC system after our old one of 15 years quit on us. We got multiple quotes and a lot of information on multiple systems. Todd came out and was very knowledgeable about the subject matter and gave us the pros and cons of each option. He gave us his honest opinion on what he would do if it was his house and we felt he was always just giving us information and never trying to sell us on a certain product. Todd and his crew were very professional and courteous. We are very happy about our new system and were thrilled about the low cost as well. I would definitely recommend Todd to friends and family and call on Honest Air again if the situation arose."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

A damper motor can last up to 15 years, but it can wear out more quickly than that if you run your HVAC unit a lot. So you might expect a longer life in a colder climate than if you live in a warmer climate.

HVAC pros recommend that you replace your AC filter every one to three months to maintain optimal indoor air quality and ensure your HVAC system operates efficiently. However, factors such as filter type, household size, and environmental conditions may influence the frequency of replacement. Regular filter changes help prevent debris buildup, maintain airflow, and prolong the life span of your air conditioning unit.

There are a few things you can do to make your AC repair technician’s job easier and your home more comfortable while you wait for AC repair:

  • Cut back trees, shrubs, and weeds around the outdoor compressor

  • Clear a pathway inside and outside to your AC components

  • Set up a ladder for attic access if necessary

  • Pull your window AC out of the window and place in an easily accessible spot

  • Supplement with fans and open windows to help keep your house comfortable

Yes. Return air vents are responsible for gathering and pulling in the warmer air. Once they draw it in, your system conditions the air by removing the warmer molecules from it, allowing your air conditioner to dispense the cooler air back into your home. Not only does this create a more comfortable environment for you, but it also keeps your air conditioner from overworking, resulting in lower energy bills.

While Freon is mostly odorless, a Freon leak will produce a faint chloroform-like smell. Some people find that Freon's odor has a subtle sweetness to it. Some telltale signs of a Freon leak beyond odor include ice crystals on your evaporator coil, bubbling sounds, and hissing noises.
