"JRA Tradesmen did an amazing job for us! Justin was easy to work with, very respectful and timely. The floor tile he installed looks beautiful. He had some ideas that we hadn’t thought of which made it look better. He is very talented.! He also started and finished the job when he said he would. We had a very small issue (not his fault) afterwards with the vanity and he was very responsive when we called back and had it all in working order very soon after. We would definitely hire him again."

"My project was fascia repair/replacement. Jack helped me take care of the rotted fascia by replacing the wood, & rewrapping it in metal to prevent any further damage from occurring. His pride in workmanship was outstanding. It is very difficult to findi a contractor with so much skill & know-how to be so diligient & honest . Jack noticed areas that needed attention to & did it at no charge. He left the work area clean after the job was completed. Jack was great to work with & would highly recommend."

"I purchased the wood from Floor Coverings International but my son installed the floors. I had never purchased flooring before. The customer service was excellent. I learned a lot about what to look for and how to choose flooring. I am very happy with the final wood chosen and how it looks in my home."

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

DIY is possible for small projects. Professional services ensure precision and long-lasting results.

Generally speaking, it is better to cut tile wet when using a fast-moving wet saw to reduce dust and chipping. However, tile can be cut dry when using just about any cutting tool. Dry cutting will result in a bigger mess and may increase the risk of chipping or cracking, but if you’re just making small cuts, dry cutting is a safe and viable option. Cutting dry also means you can apply tile grout sooner, so it’s better for rushed projects.

On average, tiling a shower costs between $1,800 and $5,000, with most people paying around $2,700. The price of this project depends on multiple factors, including the kind of tile you choose, the size of your shower, and labor rates in your area. If you decide to tile your own shower (instead of hiring a professional), it’ll likely cost $800 to $1,400.

Yes, but you should only put tile directly on drywall in smaller areas that don’t experience excess moisture. For example, a small kitchen tile backsplash could work, but installing tile directly on the drywall in a bathroom or other chronically damp area is not a good idea. Either way, a cement backer board is a far more reliable solution, as drywall is susceptible to moisture and can warp or cause your tiles to crack.

Regrouting is cheaper than retiling, and it involves less work. Grout is available in a wide range of colors, making it a cost-effective way to improve the look of any tiled area in your home.
