From the initial call, Dan was personable, knowledgeable, and professional, which gave us peace of mind in inspecting our first home. The business provided three inspectors on a Saturday and did all of the hard tasks including inspecting the roof and crawl space. They even shared a suit and mask with my husband so that he could view the crawl space as well. They provided a detailed report that night, and explained it to us immediately, allowing us to ask any questions that we had. They were very much on our side as the buyers. If we don't go through with this home purchase (based on their thorough findings) we will most definitely use their home inspections services again and recommend them to our friends.

Since I am new to Virginia Beach and purchasing a home I wanted to be certain I would be happy with the recommendation, so of course I checked them out on Angies LIst. Dan and Adam did an excellent job. They were very informative and helpful with any questions or concerns that I had regarding the property and provided an excellent home inspection report with highly detailed photographs and explanations of any current or possible future concerns regarding the home I was purchasing.They were so thorough they even checked out the integrity of the tree house in the back yard per my wife's request to make sure it was safe for my twins to play up there! True professionals.

Everything went well, and Dan was the best inspector of the three that I had used. He thoroughly explained his findings, he gave an accurate estimate of my home's value, and he really seemed to have my best interests at heart. Superb inspection by Dan & Adam using the latest state of the art detection tools, especially with the gas leak off the fireplace, which was pre-existing for awhile - even my wife sensed it during a prior walkthrough. The inspection result was detailed with few deficiencies listed, along with hi-def pictures.

The best certified duo of home inspectors in Va. Beach area. Dan & Adam were very thorough with their inspection techniques & their latest tools of detection. The house in Sherwood Lakes, VB is 3 years old & they both found an interior gas leak emanating from the gas valve for the den fireplace. Dan went up the roof area & found a shingle cardboard wrapper embedded under a shingle & potentially could have been a water intrusion into the attic. The detailed report was impressive with high def pictures of equipment & spaces inspected, with descriptive context of findings of good or deficiencies. In summary, they've lived up with their "A" rating of quality work, attention to details & down-to-earth demeanor. Strongly referred them to the owners of the same house I'm buying.

Dan arrived at the house early. He was prepared, professional, and pleasant. Before I arrived, Dan had begun inspecting the outside of the home. He was diligent and managed time effectively from the beginning of his visit until everything had been looked over. Dan and his colleague tag-teamed the space; Dan was looking over the first level of the home and the pool house while his partner inspected the second floor. As the inspection was taking place, Dan was willing to answer all of my questions in a way that I was able to understand both the issue and the solution. Dan used the most up to date technology and equipment to ensure that my home was inspected with excellence. After the inspection was complete, Dan took the time to summarize the inspection with me and my realtor. He was thorough and patient in this process, again answering all questions asked of him. He emailed a report that contained digital photos and descriptions of any issues. The report categorized his findings into different sections- each section reflected any deficiencies he saw during the inspection. His website/report is easy to navigate. I would recommend Final Analysis to anyone without any hesitation. Should I need services that Dan offers in the future, I would use his company.

The house is a large beach home on the water and only 8 years old. Dan and Adam did an absolutely detailed and professional inspection on the home. They thoroughly inspected the home from top to bottom, and the entire time informed me what they were doing, what they were looking for, what I should be looking for as a home owner, and recommendations and suggestions on what to do with what they found and what they didn't find. They came into the house and immediately went right to work. They were in the house for over three hours and they went through every nook and cranny of the house. Although the seller had previously had a home inspection by another company, and I'm sure other home inspections were done before that, they still found a number of items the previous inspector did not find and even a number of issues that were not to code when the house was originally built in 2006 that nobody else apparently noticed. Although the house was in good shape, they discovered a number of issues that would have been very costly to repair if we had relied on the previous inspection. My stepson is also an ASHI certified home inspector in another state, and even he was very impressed with their work and their final documentation. Not only would I use them again if I buy another home, I will use them to inspect any contractors I use to do any work on the home after I purchase it. They have my highest recommendation!

I cannot recommend Dan highly enough. My experience with Dan and his team confirms the excellent reputation they have in the area. There was a problem with the AC system in the home I was purchasing and Dan pointed out all the problems with it and recommended a major repair and/ or servicing. The selling agent scheduled a repair using the home warranty. Thankfully, Dan had to come back for a follow up inspection since the gas wasn't turned on during the first inspection. When I arrived the second time for the follow up inspection, the selling agent and my own agent (believe it or not) were both trying to hoodwink me into believing that the AC had indeed been fixed. They both were doing this routine of going under the AC vents and telling me that the AC was now working. They could allegedly "feel" the cool air coming out. Basically, they thought I was an idiot and couldn't tell that the AC was not cooling the house at all. But Dan finally came and set them straight. Although the selling agent tried to browbeat him, implying that he was not qualified to inspect the AC, Dan stood his ground and pointed out that pretty much nothing was done to fix the problem and had the facts to back it up. Needless to say, another repair had to be scheduled and Dan kindly came back for a third time! This time, the AC was finally serviced properly. If honesty is the currency of home inspectors, then Dan is a billionaire in my mind...because his word is GOLD.... PURE GOLD.

I called Final Analysis to schedule a Home Inspector to inspect a house I'm buying. Unfortunately their schedule wouldn't allow them to do the inspection but what happened next was truly remarkable. First, the representative (I think he was the owner of the company) gave me a helpful tips on selecting a quality home inspector, told me what to watch out for and what questions to ask when comparing inspectors and THEN he recommended one of his competitors!! If that's not enough he voluntarily offered to answer any questions I had about the home inspection process (we talked for 20 mins) and to review the final home inspection report produced by another company if I had any concerns about the quality to the inspection! I contacted Final Analysis to conduct a pre-purchase home inspection on a residential property in an exclusive area of Virginia Beach, Va. I did not use the "home inspection specialist" suggested by the real estate broker. I telephonically contacted several firms on Angie's List and Yelp. I have some knowledge of building construction and have no patience for "home inspectors" that obtained their credentials in two days and were not general contractors. I talked to Dan Rogers at Final Analysis and when he said "I work for you, not the broker or the seller" and I know local building codes and required specifications, I knew I had the right company. He and his associate, Adam, took the inspection professionally and went through the house with a fine tooth comb. I accompanied Dan, and he provided a full HEPA/Painters suit and filter mask for me when we crawled under the house. He took time to point out foundation concerns, damp areas, damaged and loose insulation and rodent invasion. He even pointed out poor electrical work that had been installed for a tenant's hot tub...the 220 volt cable was laying in water! Later he and Adam went through the attic, found insulation problems, soffit's blocked off, rodent infestation, poor building craftsmanship and venting mistakes. He was unbiased and scientific in approach; he would say an item meets code, but is not satisfactory and found problems I would have overlooked..an unvented gas fireplace, inappropriate range vent hood, windows inop, toilet vent stacks closed off; etc. His final report was inclusive, with photos pointing out defects and areas needing repair. I had the report online within the day!!! I sent his report to good friend, a residential building contractor in California. He is a retired Lt. from a major city Fire Department. He reviewed the Final Analysis Report and said "forget about this house, it's a money pit....... I truly believe Final Analysis should double their fee. They saved me at least $100,000 and a year of grief. They were fair to the seller and did a responsible job. If we attempt to purchase another property, Final Analysis we be there !!!!

Dan went over it with a fine-tooth comb and found several issues that ultimately may cause us to walk away from the property. The biggest issue was potential asbestos next to the HVAC duct. The sellers just had it inspected 2 yrs ago when they bought the house and their inspector did not find any of these major issues. I spoke with every qualified inspector in the hampton roads area, looked at all of their resumes, and read all reviews prior to picking an inspector and Dan was clearly the most qualified. This was proven during our actual inspection. Even our seasoned realtor was impressed. Go with Dan from Final Analysis, you won't regret it.

Dan and Adam were our inspector's. They arrived early, were extremely thorough and took the time to talk about all the potentially concerning things they found with me and with the seller with my agreement. The same day they emailed me a report that was incredibly filled with detail about the house. Not just the defects but details about all the systems that is good for us to know as well as recommendations for the future. They took many pictures and left us with a document that will not only help in the purchase of the home but in the future ownership and maintenance of the home as well! I could not have been more pleased.

We moved here from Northern VA, and I had high expectations for attention to detail based on our previous experiences. Dan met and exceeded those expectations. My home inspection went very well. Dan Rogers and his colleague did an excellent job. They really look out for the customer. Even through I wasn't there for my inspection he took the time to explain things to me over the phone. I love that he is very detail and provided me with all the facts.

We were unable to complete it due to utilities not being on. Dan was willing to under very limited notice come back out in a pinch to complete the inspection before we closed. There was an additional fee for that second visit, however, it was far as he was booked solid and honored his word to us to squeeze us in. Very happy with his inspection and report. He was also very quick on turn around with the report. He offers ease of paying online and billing invoices online (making it easy to see prior to services being rendered and for saving for your files). Our realtor suggested Dan. I would use him and recommend his services to any family or friends (or if i ever need them again).
