"Be very careful. we chose him because he made a big deal about how good his work is and how quickly he can finish projects. JMS started building our home in January of 2019. By October of 2020, he was $100000 over budget and the outside wasn't even completed, additionally, the basement walls were leaking. He spent a year saying he would fix the leaks, then ghosted us. We had to hire a lawyer to get his attention. Now almost 4 years later, the wall is failing and he still refuses to accept responsibility. He gives references who are friends or family. BEWARE."

Condensation in your dryer can create a dangerous situation. It can cause lint to clog up the venting components of the system. If you have a gas-powered dryer, excessive lint buildup can create the potential for carbon dioxide buildup within your home. Clogged vent systems can also be a severe fire hazard. 

If you happen to disassemble your dryer vent and feel the inside of the duct immediately after drying a load of laundry, it will likely feel damp and warm. That’s normal, as the vent has just finished moving the humidity and moisture from your laundry to the exterior of your property. However, if your dryer vent has water droplets in it at any time, it’s a sign that there’s trouble with the machine’s ventilation. You should call in a professional right away to get the issue fixed.

At a minimum, you should clean your dryer vent at least once a year. You may need to clean the dryer vent more often, such as every six months, if your dryer sees frequent or daily use. If you have young children or pets, you may need to clean the vent quarterly. 

There are a few signs that tell you it's time to clean your vent. If your clothes are very hot when they come out of the dryer or it's taking longer than usual for clothes to dry, the vents need cleaning.

It’s possible to remove too much humidity from the air, but it’s very unlikely. Dehumidifiers have moisture sensors and settings to control how they function, so they can pause when the air inside your home reaches a certain humidity level. This means that most modern dehumidifiers won’t dry out the air to the point where it’s uncomfortable. But older, more basic dehumidifiers that are left on too long could potentially dry out the air so much that your skin, hair, and sinuses start to feel dry.
