It was an excellent experience from the sales person through the installation and instructions on using and maintaining the new unit. The sales person gave complete explanations and there was no high pressure. I compared their prices and when including the Carrier rebate they were less expensive. They installed the unit quickly and the people were friendly. I have always found Richard's to be honest and reliable.

I really like that they always send out the same technician. The lady that answers the phone is always very courteous and helpful.

Work took most of a full day for crew. Main crew was 2 guys, but at different times as many as 4 or 5 were working on the job. They laid down floor protection and cleaned as they went.

The installation and equipment part of this deal were fine. They came out quoted the price of an upgraded, higher efficiency 2 stage heat pump system. Jim Smith, our salesman, stated that we would be eligible for a $300 tax credit because we were installing a high efficiency system. We didn't know anything about this and were happy to hear it. Our accountant is filing our taxes and needed documentation for the tax credit so I called Richards to get whatever copies were needed. I was told my salesman was not available, but would call back. A different salesman called back to take the heat because he was stuck delivering the bad news that I would have had to replace my entire heating system to qualify for the tax credit. The product was good, but honesty is important to me and I would never do business with them again because of this.

This is a family owned business that I have used for over 7 years. Their work is top quality and they are very professional. They came out the same day we called them. They are very knowledgeable and extremely reputable. I highly recommend them.

They are friendly and polite when they come out. The price is reasonable as well. They are a good company to work with. They are always thorough as well. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a good heating and a/c company.

I pay about 300 dollars every year for my service plan and I do think that they are a little pricey. One thing that impressed me about the company though was that I was able to call them about an issue that I had with my A/C and they told me to try changing a fuse first before I had them come out there for a service fee. I took their advice and it worked, so they saved me money in the end.

What impresses me is that rather than immediately sell me a new system two years ago, they've made a couple of low-cost repairs that have kept the system going. That said, it looks like the system might be dead, so we may get to see how a replacement goes.

They are very nice, competent and knowledgeable. They have different levels of service plans available and you are put on a priority list as to the service contract you have purchased. They installed the thermostat the same day it came in.

The workmanship is beautiful. For the first time in six years, we have air conditioning that really works properly. From the initial call to Richards, we had a technician on site the same day. Within two days, we had the system fully replaced. The price quoted was exactly what was charged. However, they delivered far more than what was in the quote. These are very serious professionals who arrived in a van loaded with testing and diagnostic equipment. I have never seen anything like this in the 25 years I've lived in this area. Polite, knowledgeable and very informative.

They did a good job and were reliable.

Jim Smith came out. He is very knowledgeable, was familiar with my particular unit, and knows the unit has a history of high reliability, and is pretty energy efficient. Bottom line: there is no need to get a unit at this time. He is very honest and if I did need to buy another unit, he'd sell me only what I need. His quote was also 20-25% less than the competitor.

Richards was highly recommended by a friend. I had them work on my AC last year and was very satisfied. This time, my heat pump stopped working. The first tech that came out said it was not economical to fix (it was 20 years old - twice the usual life). He put me in touch with the sales guy, who gave me 4 choices of units with specific $ amounts on the phone with exact models of Carrier units and explained the differences. I already knew something about what they would cost, so I selected one of the options right then and there. It's Feb, yet they called and came out one day later. They originally predicted two days, but would have been done sooner if the metalwork guy had arrived earlier. They were VERY professional, and were careful to put down canvas on my carpet. My old unit had not been installed to code, so they upgraded at no additional cost. They even replaced the thermostat. They explained everything and said they'd come back if I had any problems.

Ever since I went to Richards I've been extremely pleased. Prompt, polite service. Reasonable costs. Honest. Good work, nice people.

I'm very happy with their service plan. They call me and come out to service everything so my summers are cool and winters are comfortable!

One of the best service companies I've used. Work was excellent. Price was $3,000 - $7,000 below the other estimates we received for the same job. HVAC technicians were prompt and courteous.

I think they definitely lost money on this job! For about $3,000 I had easily 100 manhours PLUS of course the new boiler etc etc. But their service and dedication and prompt response to someone who had never done business with them before, made a lasting impression on me. Whenever I see a Richard's truck on the road I think really good thoughts! I wouldn't call anyone else IF I have a problem in the future.

I met with around 6 different companies before choosing Richards, and they were wonderful. There price was also the best for the furnace. They wanted to charge too much for the return air duct, but they brought the price down when I talked to them about it. They replaced things I wasn't even expecting them to replace (the main furnace switch, patched a hole in the main plenum that had just been taped previously, and rerouted my A/C water line). They were really nice and did not get annoyed when I had lots of questions and special requests. They were also very clean. They put down canvas mats to protect my floor and were actually walking around in little booties at the end to dirty again after they'd cleaned up. The job was completed in one day.

NEW TO US, BUT PRICE COMPETITIVE AND TIMELY DELIVERY OF UNIT. RICHARDS DID A WONDERFUL JOB, DISPOSED OF THE OLD ONE AND REPLACED WITH QUIETER MORE EFFICIENT UNIT. THE CREW WAS GREAT & POLITE.

THEY DO A VERY GOOD JOB. THEY ALWAYS COME PROMPTLY WHEN OR IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND PLEASANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH. I AM VERY SATISFIED WITH THIS COMPANY'S SERVICES.

PRICE WAS VERY COMPETITIVE. QUOTE PROVIDED QUICKLY--NO ROOM FOR NEGOTIATION, BUT WAS BASED ON DETAILED SURVEY OF HEATING NEEDS. INSTALLATION WAS PERFORMED PROMPTLY AND PROFESSIONALLY. ONE TECHNICAL PROBLEM WAS QUICKLY RESOLVED. DECLINED MAINTENANCE CONTRACT BECAUSE IT WAS NOT COMPETITIVELY PRICED.
