They wanted to make sure that everything that we had asked for was what they planned to install. They did an excellent job of minimizing creating a mess and of cleaning up afterwards. For our pavers, they laser leveled and compacted the existing soil, laid down and compacted a base material (chat) and took the time necessary to install the pavers perfectly. Because of the special attention paid to setting the grade, rain water runs off of the patio as planned, away from the house and pool.
