I have been a handyman for over 10 years. Prior to that, I was an automotive technician for several years and a bicycle mechanic for 15 years. I do basic home repairs and upgrades, basic electrical, basic plumbing, carpentry, furniture assembly, TV mounts, hauling/ trash removal, and more. I provide fair estimates, always show up on time, and my communication is great. I love what I do and take great pride in my work.

"A year and a half ago, I hired Sunnyside to shore up a rotting back deck for my elderly motherâ s home in Logan.. Skyler was very professional and extremely communicative with me every step of the way. They reinforced some areas of the deck as a well as refinishing it. They also installed a front porch railing to assist my mom in ascending her porch steps. She loved the work. Recently, after the heavy snows this year, the deck started peeling up in spots. This was also possibly due to her dog repeatedly urinating on it in the winter. Contacted Skyler and they did an amazing job on sanding and cleaning it up as well as resealing it. He gave us a fair price and it looks wonderful. My mom is super happy with it. I would say the best thing about this company is the constant communication on progress and/or issues. Give these guys a try."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

Yes, adding a pool to your property will almost always increase your homeowners insurance premiums. This is because pools are considered a greater liability due to their potentially hazardous nature, and the added replacement cost of the pool is factored into your home's rebuilding cost when considering coverage limits. The amount of the increase can range from as little as $50 to a few hundred dollars more per year, depending on your insurance provider, location, current coverage, and the safety features installed. Before building a pool, it is highly recommended to contact your insurance agent to get an estimate, discuss their specific guidelines and requirements, and factor the increased premium into your total pool installation costs.

When looking into fiberglass vs. concrete pools, you will notice a big price difference. A fiberglass pool costs $15,000 to $75,000, whereas a concrete pool costs $35,000 to $100,000. While concrete pools are customizable, fiberglass is faster to install and requires less maintenance. Additionally, you can expect to pay $25,000 to maintain a concrete pool over a ten-year span. On the other hand, a fiberglass pool only requires basic maintenance like testing water levels and cleaning.

The best paver for your pool deck depends on your budget, style, and how much maintenance you’re willing to invest. Granite is one of the best low-cost pavers for pool decks. It’s very slip-resistant and durable, too, making it a top pick. Travertine is a high-quality material that resists freeze-thaw cycles, looks stunning, and won’t get hot in the summer. The only downside to travertine is that it costs more than granite.

Filter balls don’t work as well as sand filters because they’re unable to handle large debris, are prone to clogging, and require frequent cleaning. While they can seem more convenient and less expensive than sand filters, most need to be removed and washed regularly, or they won’t filter well and struggle with algae and dirt. Speak with your pool maintenance pro about the best filtration option for your pool.

An in-ground swimming pool enhances property value by adding a luxurious aesthetic and functional feature. It appeals to potential homebuyers who value outdoor entertainment and relaxation spaces, thus raising market desirability.
