"I would highly recommend Magnum Builders! His attention to detail is top notch. He is an extremely clean contractor and protects your finishes. He got the job done quick, but didn’t cut any corners. He is also honest, if there was ways I could save money he would give me options. Definitely would recommend using Magnum Builders!"

"We connected on the net , they responded quickly. We decided on a time for the next day. They were on time, ( something unheard of here in St George) got the job done in NO time. I could not be happier or pleased with their ability and knowledge as to how the concrete needed to be opened up without damaging any water lines beneath it. I am a happy camper and would recommend this company totally."

"Bryan did an outstanding job installing our concrete steps out of our bottom patio pad under our deck of our newly built home! The quality of his work is excellent, and everything turned out exactly how we hoped. He pays attention to the details and takes a lot of pride in what he does. On top of that, his pricing was very fair and competitive. We got several quotes, and Bryan was one of the best-priced contractors without sacrificing quality. He's also one of the hardest-working contractors I've ever met. He never stops working, stays focused on the job, and puts in a full day's work from start to finish. He's friendly, easy to talk to, and always willing to answer questions or explain the process. If you're looking for someone who is honest, dependable, hardworking, and does quality concrete work at a great price, I highly recommend Bryan. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again and will definitely be recommending him to friends and family."

"We had a unique situation with our house that we bought where it was more ideal and in line with our goals to tear down part of the house and rebuild it by adding an ADU. Chris has been amazing to work with!! He has been great helping us work towards our goals with the house and the design ended up so much better than I had imagined!"

"John from Raise It Concrete did an excellent job fixing our walkway to our house. Over the years it had sunk in several places from 1 to 4 inches. Within a short time he had it level and ready for use again. I would highly recommend his work to others. Scott H."

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

The polyurethane used for polyjacking will expand and cure in 15 to 30 minutes. After that point, your slab will be safe to walk on and even drive on in the case of a sidewalk or concrete driveway. Double-check with your concrete lifting specialist to confirm a curing timeline, as products can differ.

The average cost for mudjacking is around $1,200, though prices can range from $300 to $3,400. On a per-square-foot basis, you can expect to pay between $3 and $8, with an average of about $5 per square foot. The final cost depends on several factors, including the square footage of the concrete, the type of slab, its accessibility, whether it is load-bearing, and the type of material used to lift it. Generally, lifting a driveway, small patio, or sidewalk is less expensive than lifting a slab foundation or garage floor.

A slurry of cement, sand, and water is injected beneath the concrete to lift and stabilize it.

Most states and municipalities don’t require concrete mudjacking companies to carry a specific license, but they usually need to have a general contractor’s license, and they should be fully insured. The only exception is if the mudjacking company provides foundation repairs as well, or if it offers mudjacking for home foundations. In that case, they will typically need a foundation repair contractor’s license. You can check state requirements and then use Angi’s license lookup tool to confirm that a company is properly licensed to provide mudjacking services in your area.

Polyjacking and mudjacking can both be effective solutions for sinking concrete, but they have key differences. Polyjacking, which uses expanding polyurethane foam, is often considered a better option because the foam is significantly lighter than the cementitious material used for mudjacking. This reduced weight puts less pressure on the underlying soil and lowers the risk of future sinking. Polyjacking is suitable for any sinking concrete slab, while mudjacking is typically only recommended for non-structural concrete, such as sidewalks, patios, pool decks, and driveways. The primary drawback of polyjacking is its cost, which can be up to four times higher than mudjacking—as much as $25 per square foot compared to a maximum of about $6 per square foot for mudjacking.
