"We connected on the net , they responded quickly. We decided on a time for the next day. They were on time, ( something unheard of here in St George) got the job done in NO time. I could not be happier or pleased with their ability and knowledge as to how the concrete needed to be opened up without damaging any water lines beneath it. I am a happy camper and would recommend this company totally."

Poured Concrete Wall - Repair

Serving Mendon, UT and surrounding areas

In business since 2023

"I contacted Angi about a patio job and filled out a form. "The Man of Mud" got my information from Angi and contacted me, along with several others contractors. They gave me an estimate for the project. We agreed on the estimate bid of $8,581.42. They came and completed the job with following complications: The cement set up way too fast and the man of mud suspected Staker and Parson provided "hot load" meaning the cement had come from another site. They finished the cement patio with a lot of effort and came back the next day to fix some rough spots of cement. At the completion of the job they submitted an invoice for $7, 969. 84. Which I paid by personnel check on May 16, 2024 and cleared my bank account on May 21, 2024. With in 10 days 2 large cracks appeared on the patio and there is problem with water pooling on the steps. I contacted "The Man of Mud" about the cracks and they told me there was nothing they could do about it. No other contact was made. On September 26, I received a certified letter from an attorney stating: a lien had been placed on my property for the amount of $2,488.19 + lien filling fees $250 + finance charges + attorney fee on behalf of Staker and Parson Companies. Staker and Parson Companies is the supplier of the cement for my patio. I have had no contact with Staker and Parson Companies and they have never contacted me about a bill that has not been paid by "The Man of Mud". I just call The Man of Mud phone number and the number is no longer in service."

Foundation Repair questions, answered by experts

If your foundation isn’t properly square, there’s a chance that anything you built before detecting the issue may need to be torn down. A major miscalculation could leave some walls of your home unsupported.

It’s crucial to hire a foundation company that’s professional, experienced, and reliable, starting by choosing local experts with at least five to ten years of experience with your type of project. Local foundation companies will understand the soil and weather conditions in your area and can carry out the best solution based on your property characteristics. You should ask for a list of customer references, read through online reviews, and check for customer complaints and unresolved issues filed with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) before hiring.

Concrete can crack from general wear, improper installation, or in response to uneven support from the soil underneath. Small, thin cracks on the surface of aging concrete are usually a result of normal wear and tear, while cracks on new concrete more likely indicate a problem with installation. Larger cracks or uneven steps can signify a much more severe issue. A concrete contractor should be able to diagnose the cause and repair concrete cracks for you.

If your foundation is unfinished, has surface damage, or is just plain unappealing, foundation refacing can be another great way to increase your curb appeal and give your foundation a fresh look. Used in conjunction with foundation planting, refacing can completely change the look of your foundation and your home.

If you don’t have any access to or knowledge of any area underneath your home, chances are it’s built slab-on-grade. You can also look for the concrete around the bottom edge of your structure; if it’s just a few inches tall, it’s likely a slab. If it’s more than that, has any windows, or you have steps leading to your main entrance, you likely have a different foundation style.
