"I hired them to wash my windows. I loved the work they did! They have a product that they use that seems to repel dirt longer. I really like their guarantee, that if the windows become dirty within 2 weeks after they have cleaned them, all I have to do is notify them and they will come and give me a free touch up! Also, I have found them to be honest and reliable. I highly recommend them! Janice"

"Billy was great. He was quick and efficient, but I noticed him taking his time to ensure the work was the highest quality it could. A few of my windows were very dirty and still had construction grime stuck to them. I was able to talk with Billy and have a great conversation. I felt that Billy cared about what he was doing for me and my family. I will refer Billy to all my friends, and use him anytime I can."

"We are a non-profit, children s mental health facility. Sensitive things happen inside our offices. Several of our staff members commented how polite, and how cooperative the team was as they moved throughout the inside of our building. We had excellent service. We will be scheduling Metropolitan on a regular basis!"

"Mark was kind and professional and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the job. He pressure washed my deck when he noticed some debris had fallen when cleaning out the rain gutters. They did an excellent job on the windows as well."

Window Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Window washing usually refers to cleaning dirt and other debris off of the exterior of your windows, while window cleaning is a much more involved process that addresses the outside and inside of the glass, as well as the interior components. Window washing is more to improve the aesthetic of your windows, while window cleaning can improve performance, reduce the risk of damage over time, and even improve your home’s energy efficiency.

Hot water removes grime more efficiently than cold water and evaporates more quickly so that your windows will dry faster. However, you may want to use cold water instead if your windowsill paint is chipping or peeling because heat can worsen this condition.

Unless it’s written into the purchase agreement, there’s no legal obligation that a house you’ve bought has to be clean before you move in. The previous owner is generally required to sweep the house, but that doesn’t guarantee everything will be spotless upon your arrival. If possible, discuss the cleaning requirements with the real estate company before moving in.

You should avoid using abrasive materials and harsh chemicals when cleaning windows. Abrasive tools like scrubbing pads, rough cloths, or steel wool can permanently scratch and damage the glass. Harsh chemical cleaners containing alcohol or ammonia can damage window treatments, frame materials, and special features like tinting. It is also best to use distilled or filtered water instead of hard water, which can leave spots or streaks. For best results, use a clean microfiber cloth to wash the glass and old black and white newspapers to dry it without leaving streaks.

Yes, professional window cleaning is worth the investment. Regular deep cleanings help keep your windows looking new, extend their lifespan, and boost your home's curb appeal. By removing dirt, dust, and other debris, you can reduce the risk of damage and accelerated wear to window frames and components. It also improves your home’s energy efficiency by keeping insulation and weatherstripping in good working order, potentially lowering your energy bills. Furthermore, annual or bi-annual cleanings can help identify problems like leaks or cracks early, before they escalate into expensive water damage. You can often recuperate the cost of cleaning through energy savings and by avoiding premature window replacement.
