"Company was great! Honest estimate with full breakdown of materials and services. The removed old grass and prepped the yard giving the new sod the best chance to grow. Installed 4 underground pipes to reduce water runoff and took our idea for 2 paths and created a beautiful final result. Came out after the work was done to confirm everything was as expected and even came back shortly after address any questions we had. Will work with again soon."

"Misael Gomez - 512-696-6128 Did a spring clean up in both my front and back yard. Cleaned out flower beds, laid down weed barrier and brought in black mulch. Trimmed Crepes, weeded, and raked up tons of leaves that were over two inches deep. They worked very hard and I was very pleased with their services. I will definitely use them again. Call Misael - They will treat you right."

"I had an excellent experience with Kris from 4 Winds Irrigation. From the moment he arrived, it was clear he knew his craft inside and out. Not only did he take care of the issue efficiently, but he also took the time to walk me through what he was doing and why—something I really appreciated. He didn’t just fix the problem; he educated me on how my system works, how to maintain it, and what to watch for in the future. That level of transparency and professionalism is rare. The work was done thoroughly, pricing was fair, and the overall service exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for reliable and knowledgeable irrigation services."

Weed Services questions, answered by experts

Landscaping fabric can only help to prevent weed growth in the short term. It's not an ideal long-term solution because dirt will eventually make its way on top of it, causing weeds to sprout. These fabrics can also leave microplastics in the environment for many, many years, so pulling weeds using one of the methods in this guide as soon as you see them is a better long-term prevention strategy.

Vinegar cannot tell the difference between weeds and desired grass types; it kills everything it touches. Only use a vinegar or vinegar-based solution if you are relatively confident that you can navigate around the plants and grasses you want to keep. Also, don’t spray vinegar on a windy day, or it will blow onto other plants.

Clover lawns stand up better against dog and cat urine than traditional turfgrass. If your pets love to hang out on the lawn on a sunny day—or if you find yourself with a lot of visiting neighborhood dogs—you could save yourself from yellow and brown patches by making the switch to a clover lawn.

Mowing a lawn will, unfortunately, not get rid of clover, and it may even encourage it to flourish. Let your lawn grow to a healthy height of over 3 inches and then set your mower blades no lower than this level. Higher grass will cut out the light that clover loves and discourage it from spreading.

Due to its slow growth, Bahia grass does not generally take over weeds. In fact, the opposite can be true. Young Bahia grass is susceptible to being taken over by weeds.

Likewise, in the cool season, Bahia grass goes into a dormant state that can allow weeds that thrive in early spring to get the upper hand. If you want to prevent weeds from taking over your yard, remove them by hand or apply a Bahia grass-friendly pre-emergent herbicide to your lawn before weeds have a chance to appear.
