Responsiveness was the problem. The in-store guy was just great and I would give him an “A”. I would not use them again for appliances.

We buy he product from Home Depot so if we buy one of their products the we just call a number. They have nothing to do with Home Depot. They just ask us to give them the part numbers for the faucet and they replace it. They send us the parts and we then re-build the faucet. We have probably done that ourselves half a dozen times because it is something the store does. It is not exactly convenient, but it works out. We just call them and tell them what is wrong with the sink and they immediately send us the pieces. They don't charge us at all for this service because it is covered in the lifetime warranty. The experience was excellent. They have products from a very low price all the way up to very fancy faucets so we can pick our price range. We consistently buy their ceiling fans, faucets and other products because they stand by their products.

The guy who came out and did the work was great but the price was just really high. I knew the things were expensive but I just had to get a hold of a good employee there who helped me break down the material cost and the construction and their labor cost to see that their labor was pretty much out of sight as far as cost wise. They were fast.

I hired this company because I needed a plumber but they sent an apprentice instead that didn't know how to successfully complete the job and then ended up losing the necessary parts needed for the installation. A plumber came as well but he was too big to get under the sink so the apprentice had to do the work and didn't know anything about the job.

Home Depot charges $30 for an estimate (non negotiable, even if you have the measurements already). The estimate fee goes towards future installation (can not use on products to be installed. I purchased an exterior door from HD for $498. Home Depot wanted to charge $329 to install the exterior door (flat charge of $234 for exterior door installation, built out charge for exterior door $50, & threshold support for exterior door $45). I purchased a storm door from Home Depot for $422. Flat charge of $97 for storm door installation plus additional fee of $50 for built out charge. The storm door was to be installed with the exterior door so why would we need two "built out" charges. What is a built out charge? Either you have an installation charge or you don't. I was very disappointed with all the "hidden" fees. I will never use HD for door installation. Installation prices are too outrageous when compared with competitors. Margie P. (HD door installation employee) was very hard to get in contact with. Jon (another door installation employee) had to help me every time. I felt like it was "all about the money" with HD. Nothing was negotiable. Take it or leave it. Quality of exterior front door & storm door was good.
