Description of Work: I hired Sam Garza based on the great reviews on Angie's List about 3 months ago and I'm very happy I did. Sam does our weekly pool/spa cleaning and maintenance. He has done an excellent job for us and keeps our water sparkling clear. I tried to maintain my pool myself the past 18 months and I never food get it right. A professional like Sam makes this job look easy but you have to really know what you are doing to do it right. I highly recommend Sam to everyone who needs a friendly and reliable pool man. He's reasonable and honest.

Description of Work: Sam and his assistant were extremely professional and responsive. Sam came out a look at my system even when I could not be there. He gave me a reasonable estimate and arrived on time to complete the work. Installed three inline screw fittings for my pool filter and replaced the sand. Excellent service. I highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: He came out to do some repairs on the pool and I've hired him for regular pool service. $150/month. We've been having some issues so he's been coming out more than once a week, he has also replaced some parts.

Description of Work: He stated our service shortly after we moved in our home with our first pool. We use our pool daily, in the warm/ hot months and we use our hot tub year round. Each week, He supplies and adds the maintenance chemicals, tests water, cleans the pool with the net, and brushes it, vacuums out the hot tub and empties the basket. He backwashes our filter system as needed. He is very concerned about making sure the chemical combination is correct. This past July, there was a concern about a certain type of Algae in our pool, my husband and I didn't notice that it was starting to grow. He caught it very early. He immediately told us and purchased the special chemical we needed, (which we paid him for) then returned the next day to add it. He then returned a few days later to test it again. Now we have the bottle of this special chemical if we need it again. At least one time we were out of town and he called us to inform us of a problem he noticed with the equipment. (Our pump was struggling and sounded bad). We were able to contact our home warranty company to schedule an appointment at that time rather than waiting several days before we returned home. ( We would have had him work on it, but we had to use service that our home warranty requires, for them to cover the cost.) Sam had just started his service "Your Pool Guy" when he started servicing our pool. Anytime we had a question (and we had a lot of questions) that he wasn't 100% sure of the answer, he would research it and call me back with a solution or answer, often the same day. He is extremely competent and professional. I also like that he texts me a day or two prior to the last day of the month, as a reminder, so I can leave a check for him. I also can text him with questions about our pool and he will quickly respond either by text or phone. You can not beat his prices either, My pool guy "Your Pool Guy" is awesome!

Description of Work: Completely rebuilt my filter system after it failed. All new parts for the valve and tank connections; replaced sand in order to correct problems inside filter tank. All the problems from an initial installation approximately 3 years before.

Description of Work: Sam replaced a return hose on an above-ground pool. I couldn't replace it due to difficulty accessing due to the location of the hose under a deck. Added to that accessibility issue was the condition of the some of the hardware due to the poor installation by another contractor.
