He was very thorough spent over 4 hours on my 2000 sf house even up on roof and found a few items that needed servicing. I would recommend him to anyone who needs an inspection.

Mr. S arrived on time, spent a lot of time setting up his tests and, in my opinion, went above and beyond his duties in taking pains to explain everything completely so that I could digest all the information presented me about the house I had under contract. He was professional, very knowledgeable, polite, and well versed in inspections and repairs. I appreciated the amount of time and effort he spent to ensure that I would know exactly what I was getting in this home which represents a substantial investment to me.

In the process of buying a new house and needed an inspector. My realtor recommended one, but I wanted and independent inspector without any sort of vested interest. I had a 7 day options period to get everything done. Found Zibby on Angie's List and based on the reviews, called him on a Saturday. Got scheduled for Monday afternoon. It's a large house (3900 sq.ft.) and was told it would take 3-4 hours. I asked him to call me 30 minutes prior to completion, so I could meet him there. I called to confirm Monday morning and he already had everything set up with the listing agent. As promised, he called 30 minutes before completion. I met him and he went over a couple of items in particular, then scrolled through his pictures to point out what would be in the report. Answered all questions I had. The next morning he emailed me a detailed report. I asked him to email me a picture he had taken of something I wanted addressed by the sellers, but not technically part of the inspection. He quickly followed-up with it. I would gladly use him again on another house. Incidentally, I was told to expect approximately 10 cents per square foot as a cost. His price was $375 for 3900 sq. ft.

Zibby (yes that's his name) the inspector was very thorough and took pictures of the areas we should focus on. All of this was provided with the report. We will refer them to friends and use them in the future.

I joined Angie's List precisely because I needed a home inspector for a prospective home my wife and I are considering to buy. I chose Rockway Home Inspections because of the high grade it has received from reviewers and because of the positive reviews themselves. I called RHI on Wednesday and by Friday evening not only was my future home inspected, I received a complete report with pictures and "FYI" boxes to compare their findings with what is considered "normal" for a home to have. The report was explained in layman's terms, fully illustrated and very thorough. I called RHI after I received the report (the same evening) and the inspect was kind enough to summarize his findings and give me a general run-down of the home, in a polite, straightforward, professional kind of way that me feel that he really cared about making me as well-informed about the house as possible. Not only that, I got a $30 coupon from Angie's List as a discount! In review, I found their Rockway Home Inspection services to be: 1. Highly professional2. Punctual3. A great deal (compared to the other numbers I called on the AL top ten for home inspections)4. Very Detailed5. Mr. Zibby is very experienced and explained everything I had a question about. Very approachable and all-around nice guy.

I actually used Angie's List to help me decide which company to use for the inspection on the house we are in the process of buying. My realtor suggested a few (including Zibby). I called around to get a feel of how these companies answered my questions and to get pricing. From the beginning Zibby was amazing. He charged literally hundreds below other companies that were far less personable. When I told my realtor that I decided to use Zibby, he was very happy and told me that as a buyer, you want Zibby because he is so thorough. Zibby worked with our scheduled and met us on a Friday evening for this inspection. When we met with Zibby, he was already 3/4 through his inspection. Zibby already had a termite company there who had already performed their services and started informing us of what they did, what they found, etc. When he finished, Zibby was still inspecting, so it gave us a little bit of time to go through our potential home again and do our own "inspection". Zibby went around to each thing that he inspected (good and bad) and was extremely thorough. He was fantastic at answering every one of our questions (which was a long laundry list). I just can't say enough good things about Zibby. If you want someone who is going to be very thorough and checking every nook and cranny (so to speak) and give you every detail, and take the time to address all of your concerns - this is the place you want. He had the report with pictures to us the next day (not even 24 hours later). I would use him again in the future without a doubt!

Buying a home is a big deal, Huge deal for some. Skimping on a home inspection or going with the realtors suggested guy is a BAD idea. Home was inspected three times in 2012. I hired Zibby based on my wife's suggestion that he was an 'old school' inspector sort of like my Dad. Well let me tell you, he is extremely thorough and as mentioned in another review he actually cares and takes the time to explain why items are concerning or should be documented. Some people think to hire an inspector for the big things. Zibby not only checks all items on the checklist, but will give you an accurate picture that notes any safety concerns that could be simple fixes or clarifications to be sure you know what you are getting into. If you're a buyer Zibby is the only guy to call! If you're a seller you can be confident that after he's done an inspection, no other inspector can fault your home after you've remedied the items reported. Did I mention that I paid a 2nd guy to come out? He brought his thermal camera and took a few pictures but failed to provide any comments or recommendations, also the 2nd inspector altered the 'normal' AC ratings in his inspection so that the reading would be withing standards. I believe that Zibby documented between 2-10 additional items, two of them notable safety concerns that were not mentioned in any other reports. I'm closing on my home next week and can address those items quickly. Because of Zibby's thorough inspection and attention to detail I am confident that nothing was overlooked. He also offers a 10% military discount! I didn't bother asking for it because I was so pleased with his work, I'll never use a 2nd inspector again!

Things went very well. He is not only very professional, but also teaches you things about the house and how you can take care of it. He is informative and he really takes the time to educate you. I have also had clients use him, and they have also been very happy.
