why would you advertise to provide service if you don't service the biggest city in Bexar county?

I arranged for service to our pool filter, I was impressed by this company for several reasons: 1. They scheduled for a Friday afternoon service which happened to fall on Good Friday. They likely later realized this and tried to move the service to Thursday. I was traveling and did not get that message. When I called on Friday they told me they were coming as committed. 2. The service agent brought the filter blades which saved a second call. Other companies went back to the shop and returned another day with additional labor cost. 3. Another Angie's list vendor would only do the work if he could replace the filter blades whether necessary or not ... a potential rip off. Poolside is an ethical business and does only what is actually needed ... in this case a minor screen for an internal pressure release vs. the blades. Basically $10 vs $200. 4. I have found them just as honest in their story selling you just what you need vs. what they could to increase the cost.

Jeff was on time and promptly went to work after a couple of misdiagnosis (including company rep for furnace) Jeff solved the problem and promptly repaired the heater. They did not charge for the misdiagnosis or the labor this caused. Pool; heater functions properly.

The pool looks great, and he does a great job at communicating as well.

Since we bought a house with a pool last July, we needed a crash course on how to take care of it. After visiting several other pool stores that would not even look at the pictures we took of the pool mechanics, we happened to ride by Poolside sales and services. As soon as we entered the store, they were extremely helpful and friendly. Matt took a look of pictures and told us what kind of pool we had (salt water - which even our realtor didn't tell us). He schedule us for pool school and told us what to do in the meantime. When Chris came out to the house, he took his time explaining everything and did necessary repairs to get us up and running correctly. Multiple times we have called or gone up to the store for advise on what to do. When we have problems, they have someone out to the house quickly. They also give a military discount. They give you the feel of a Mom and Pops store with the knowledge of real pool experts. We highly recommend Poolside Sales and Services.

They were prompt, did a good job on the repair, and the price was reasonable. I was completely satisfied.

Owner was very late and rude. Charged almost $200 for labor alone for less than 2 hours work, PLUS $3/mile mileage and cost of parts.
