Allgood Electric

The former owners of our home had done some questionable wiring which made us nervous. This was removed and the bathroom outlet that had been wired into was put back in it's original state. All the incorrect wiring was removed. We discussed what it would take to change out some overhead lighting and Allgood will return when we have chosen and purchased the light fixtures we want to change out. Some outdoor outlets were not working. Allgood determined that the outlets need replaced. We chose the option of purchasing the parts ourselves and they will be replaced when the lighting is done. Several of the outlet boxes, which are plastic, had snapped around the screws holding them flat on the wall. These were repaired and are now in the proper position again. Allgood checked all around the house, inside and out, to make sure everything was properly wired. All our many questions about possible changes were answered and we will be calling Allgood again when we have finally figured out all the changes we want to implement.

I had expected four can lights and the electrical wiring work that would go along with that. The house is new to me so I did not realize how much of that had already been done. My husband was the one who actually supervised the work.

Not bad for what they did on the inspection of the circuits. We did not engage them for any additional work

A special plate had to be installed to support the fan and it was a major job to remove the existing plate because of the age of our house, its attachment to the support beam and an inability to access it from the attic because of the small crawl-space. The electrician was able to execute the task and the fan looks great and operates properly.

The technician performed the evaluation and gave us a recommendation of items we could address but noted that it was not critical. We had a couple of issues we knew needed repaired and the technician did a diagnosis of those without any charge. He did not have the parts in his truck as they were unusual. He offered to go and get them but explained it would be much less expensive if we got them ourselves and he came back to install. He even showed me how to do the install as it is relatively simple, but as neither my husband or I really want to do electrical work I will call him to come back.

Went better than I expected. He included a circuit breaker at no extra charge. Cleaned up work area.

There was some confusion about the purpose if the inspection. The main office made the appointment, but the electrician that came seemed unaware if the problem.

Did a great job in inspecting our electrical system at our house. Was honest in that he told us that our electrical system was well done by the builder.They did not try to take advantage of us. Did a thorough job.

Everything went well and the technician was very professional. He explained everything that he was doing and what needed to be replaced.

They scheduled a free quote for the next day. I decided to get just the one fixture installed (me providing the fixture to help save some of the cost) and scheduled my appointment for first thing (and first time slot) in the morning. On the appointment day, 30 minutes after the scheduled start time, I called the electrician assigned, and left a voice mail. 60 minutes after the start time, I called the main office. I was told that they had meant to call me to let me know that the original electrician was away on training for the week and that someone else was going to come by after they finished another job with an ETA of 2 hours after the original scheduled time. Needing to go to work, I rescheduled for the next day, again the first available time slot. Second appointment day, 30 minutes after the scheduled start time, I called the main office and was told that they meant to call me to let me know the electrician was going to be a little bit late. 60 minutes after the scheduled start time, the electrician calls me to say that he didn't know that he had been scheduled to be there for the first time slot (and hadn't known about it the first day either) but that he was on his way, but rush hour meant it was going to take 30-60 minutes to get there. I rescheduled once again for the next day, this time directly with the electrician. Just before the end of the business day, the main office called me asking if I wanted to reschedule, but I told them I already had and that this was their final chance to do business with me. Third appointment day, electrician was 20 minutes early, but did the work very quickly and easily. It looks good and seems to work like a champ.

They called to ask if they could come early, which was excellent. They gave me an estimate and performed the two tasks I requested effeciently, were courteous and friendly. I am very happy with their work and would use Allgood again.

Really, he was punctual, articulate, clear and easily understood about everything he went through. He not only didn't mind my ghosting him everywhere, he encouraged it. I learned a lot about the electrical system in my new home.

It went very well from start to finish.

Performed as advertised. Gave me the specifics on infractions and quotes to repair up to code. INstalled the nedw wall plug-in in a professional manner. The inspection seemed hurried and cursory. The installation required one serviceman to go purchase the wall plat for the new installation, and it went smoothly and quickly. By the thime he was back with the plate, the other tech had the wiring done and ready and hooked up. They installed the plate, I payed for it and they left. I found afterwards that my GFCI plugs no longer work. Flipping the breakers did not fix it, so I will probably be calling them to come back and fix that.

Came ontime, didn't laugh when I told him I needed to have light bulbs changed! Found 8 ballasts that needed to be replaced in addition to all the bulbs. With a trip to the local Big Box store for the ballasts, he was finished in less than 3 hours. Also checked both electrical panels and found source of power fluctuations.

Overall, the experience was good.

Excellent service. He wrote up all his findings, discussing each one with me and left me with an estimated cost for each item. The estimates are very reasonable and I will be setting up an appointment to have him come back and fix the problems.

Allgood sent two men. They checked the outside and indoor electrical panels, outlets and heating/ac wiring /connections. They also made notes on my invoice on items of concern they recommended we address. They explained the importance and consequences of each items, e.g. no GFI in kitchen, garage and bathrooms. Update rusted exterior panel and interior panel. Its good to know in order to avoid possible fire exposure. We also discussed surge protectors. The men were very courteous and thorough.

I met Chris and Collin promtly at the scheduled time and they proceeded to check all fixutures, switches, outlets, and breaker boxes. They answered all of my questions and finished in a timely matter. Before they left, Chris provided me with a detailed estimate on all issues that came up during their assessment. The were both professional and kind individuals to work with. I would recommend them to anyone looking for electrical work.

The repairs went well. They were professional, and had recommendations that I appreciated. I do believe that their flat charges for various services are definitely on the high end of what is charged by electricians.

Great. Wished I hadn't delayed so long but I was so hesitant to just pick someone out of the yellow pages. That's when I saw a commercial on Angie's list and decided that was the way to go. I joined and couldn't be happier with the company used

Got the recessed lighting deal and added two lights to the package which doubled cost but i kind of figured that. Came in and prepped everything, helped me take down the old ficture and we figured out where the new lights were going to go. He was pretty meticulous the only issue i had is that they didnt fix the drywall even though it stated they did fix the drywall. I took care of that myself but it would have been very nice not to have to have done it, i'm sure my job doesnt look as good as theirs would have.

Great service. Used the Angie's list deal and scheduled the appointment. The electrician came out and looked at the kitchen lights we already had and offered to upgrade our new lights to match for a reasonable extra fee. (We expected this since the deal was for basic can lights.) The install went without a hitch and the lights were able to be added into the existing electrical circuit in the kitchen. Would use them again without hesitation.

After the misunderstanding was cleared up with Allgood Electric, my experience with them was fine.
