Myles from All-Good-Electric was awesome. He's extremely knowledgable and very friendly. Myles was able to identify several major problems with our electric that we had suspected for years. Back story - We moved into an inventory home in February of 2009. We instantly expected electrical issues because the builder Dr. Horton had fired their electrical contractor shortly after finishing our home. The contractor had put a 60 AMP receptacle in our laundry room. The 60 AMP is for an oven, which I found out after a trip to Lowes and a bunch of strange looks. After years of lightbulbs not lasting and our electrical just leaving us with the feeling we had Gremlins in the attic. Myles identified that all our switches were improperly installed. They checked almost all of the outlets. They found evidence of arcing which was prematurely burning out lightbulbs that were supposed to last 10 to 15 years. It was such a relief to get confirmation of what we had expected for years that we got a quote to fix the issues. The quote was very reasonable for the amount of work to be done. Myles also told us to keep our estimate and we would get a small discount at the time of service which we did.

It went well. They checked everything the Angie's List said: Checking for proper placement of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors Check smoke detector systemChecking all electrical panels, main breakers, and circuit breakers Spot testing of outlets for proper operation and safetyInspecting water heater, air conditioner, and furnace to make sure they can be safely disconnected during an emergency Checking GFCI and ARC-fault breakers Evaluating electrical service cable and grounding systemIncludes a post-inspection report identifying areas of safety concern Our electrical was in good shape. The only thing we had to do per their recommendation was change out all the CO2 detectors and smoke detectors since they were about 10 years old and they'd started chirping. He let us know that they only have about a 10-year lifespan. I would use their services again.

The whole process was excellent. It was easy to set up an appointment however it did not seem like there was much weekend availability. The electrician came in on time reviewed what needed to be done went and grabbed the parts he needed and completed the job within about 2 and a half hours. The work was done very well and he left my house very clean.

When we lost power to our wi-fi my husband discovered that the outdoor electrical outlet that provides power to our office was no longer working. We immediately went shopping for an Angie's List DEAL. We've bought several deals for electrical services before and have been very happy with the results. What I'm about to say is by no means a poor reflection on the provider because the technician, Jacob Ortiz, did a great job. But when we bought this $49 deal we didn't pay attention to the details...we bought the complete electrical assessment/troubleshooting deal. Not what we wanted but that wasn't Allgood's fault...we knew what caused the loss of power and wanted the outdoor electrical outlet replaced. Anyway, the assessment may have been a blessing in disguise. It revealed a problem with another outdoor electrical outlet...the one for the A/C, problems with electrical outlets in the kitchen, and problems with the electrical panel in the garage. Not critical problems but problems nonetheless. The technician prepared several proposals to fix the problems which all together totaled almost $2200...imagine our shock...our house is barely 8 years old. One of the proposals was to replace the two outdoor electrical outlets for $198 minus the 10% Angie's List discount. We gave Jacob the okay to perform that proposal. And now that we've had this assessment we'll look for deals to address the other electrical issues.

I did the service with them and they were good. For what they did my job was very simple and they were okay for me. They are a little bit high on the price. I did have extra work done than what the big deal was for. They are professional.

The provider arrived promptly, was extremely professional and courteous, and conducted a thorough plumbing inspection, I would definitely use Shafer Services for future plumbing work.

I needed lightbulbs replaced in kitchen and he only had more expensive lightbulbs that required more materials for brighter lights, but he did give me a discount. felt more pressured to purchase the upgraded service.

I didn't get the work done. Once they came up and looked at what I wanted done, it would be too cost-prohibitive. They were able to tell me right at that appointment and didn't have to come back out for an additional visit.

Called to arrange an estimate on installation of a ceiling fan with light kit and a flood light. Was surprised to be told there would be a trip charge unless we signed a contract for the work at the time of the estimate. I really don't appreciate such pushy sales tactics.

Technician was late, stated they would call 30 min before arrival and showed up 1.5 hrs after the call. Seemed to try and encourage the more expensive options rather then meet my needs. Tech was very knowledgable and respectful though. $29 dispatch fee for a high quote based on a price book that doesn't work well with large projects that require multiple items and steps. Quote was twice as high as another for more than I needed.

Technician, Jacob Ortiz, showed up on time for our appointment. Understood what we needed and provided a precise estimate of the work. I approved the job and he showed up the next day with all of his materials and completed the job with excellent quality. I will use Allgood for electrical work in the future.

The services were performed as requested, but the employee who did the inspection was one of the most unprofessional people I've ever worked with. I took time during my lunch to come to the house for the inspection. My girlfriend accompanied me. The inspection took 3 hours, so I only stayed an hour. During this time, the inspector was professional and strictly talked about the electrical. As soon as I left, the inspector acted incredibly unprofessionally. He talked about how he sold his first house because of issues with domestic violence. he then went into greater detail explaining his ex-girlfriend beat him. He then went even further and said he only hit her once with a large object. The inspection went much longer than necessary because he was talking about a variety of other things non-electrical in nature including a time he was electrocuted (which was not relevant to the inspection). His timing in changing topics (he acted this way with only my girlfriend present) is incredibly disturbing. She was extremely uncomfortable and nervous. I would not recommend this company to anyone ever, especially a woman who is alone for the services.

They were on time and very professional. Checked breakers inside and out, all wiring, and outlets. Also, the smoke detectors. They made some very reasonable recommendations, i.e., surge protection devices, etc. But absolutely no pressure.

Called at 7 and the electrician was out by 8:30. He immediately found the problem and repaired it quickly. Pete was courteous and very professional. He showed me the problem.

Peter took care of 3 problem lights. Ceiling fan was not broken but operator error and he very kindly did not laugh. He set the switchs and chains for us, so it all can be used by light switch. second we thought a plug was dead but actually the lamp itsellf was broken. okay nothing major yet. However the light box in the garage wasn't working. He found it was wired incorrectly and it looked like part of over heated and was blackened. He went up in the aittic to checks wires. Very thorough. fixed the original light which had nothing wrong with it and took the blackened light away. I have list of electrical things to be checked and I will call them again!

I called for service at ten in the morning and they came by one thirty. Ron was the electrician who did all the work. He was extremely helpful He thoroughly explained the difference between old lights and LED lights. He convinced me to get the LED lights in both rooms. He also checked one of the outlets and explained how it was designed to work. This is the third time I've used Allgood Electric and will always use them in the future as long as I own a house. I will always request that Ron be sent to solve the problem and resolve it. I can't say enough about how helpful, courteous and capable he was.

Really liked serviceman and would probably call again, but would ask a lot more questions and get second estimate. Feel like he should have known I didn't need wiring??

It worked out very well and they did a beautiful job.
